Like a slowly peeled hard boiled egg the heavier bits of space rock were soon phasered away and revealed the outer shell of the concealed ship. A quick scan of the meatal showed it was mostly made of low grade titanium a cheap easy to obtain metal pretty much anyone could get their hands on anywhere in known space used often for either low priority constructions or disposable purposes or needs.

With a bit more work the crew were soon able to cut their way through the single layer 5 inch thick hull and access the inside. Scans kept steady with their being no life signs but the inside did have a breathable atmosphere if in low power like mode. Peeking in briefly they could see the cramped square area they had uncovered was dimly lit, likely the whole space could hold one maybe two of them without too much trouble.

En Delgado cackled like a child as the cutter completed it’s circular journey and carved a whole big enough for someone to slip through. Though, who would ever be crazy enough to pop their head into an unknown craft caught sneaking through asteroids like some kind of insect. The ones that mimic leaves or sticks to sneak up on prey or avoid detection.

Jorik tentatively entered the craft slowly, keeping his back tense in case he had to back up quickly to avoid anything. He was genuinely curious as to if the ship was automated or if there had, at some point, been a pilot.

Jorik Thoran, Pilot/Nav

“Oi!” Delgado released a stream of Spanish that basically translated to, “What are you doing you crazy? No need to prove the size of your cojones to us.” The engineer didn’t follow the pilot in, but he did linger around the cut section, ready to dive in or pull the guy out if things went sideways in a handbasket.

Slipping inside the dimly lit area Jorik found three seats ahead of him. All three were a bland grey color of soft artificial like leather texture. The right and left most ones seemed to be for passengers if he had to guess. While the middle one was slightly ahead of those two and held a series small consoles meshed together for piloting controls and system statuses. None of the three seats were currently inhabited nor showed signs of recent use a thin film of dust and what felt like sand or dirt was present about a 16th of an inch thick. To his right appeared to be a trio of upright wall mounted rectangular storage lockers with a similar bland grey color tone to them. Just to Jorik’s left from where he entered was a bland grey door to the rear section of the craft which was currently closed. Directly behind him was what appeared to be a row of three upright computer server ranks. They appeared to be deuteronic based given the slim chips, though the nondescript look and lack of outright IDs made it hard to tell who they might belong too without further investigation. That said given the small size of the rack setup it couldn’t have much more processing and storage capability to do much other then simple auto pilot and maneuvers and even then likely would need piloting assist for anything bigger then a simple course correction. The air in the craft was still quite musty, it carried a hazy dryness that cloyed with each breath. Breathable but uncomfortable over all.

“No one has jumped out at you yet, right? What’s down there?” Delgado called through the hole. Curious, but still not crazy enough to go jumping in after hotshot pilots with cojones of steel.
