“Count yourself snagged for taste testing next week then.” Quinn retorted with a smile. She sipped her peppermint hot chocolate and shook her head softly, “About a week I still haven’t finished unpacking but that is more I am not sure of where I want to put everything yet.” It had taken her longer than she liked to admit for deciding what colors to put where.

“Ahh, decorating,” Leah said before breaking into a laugh that was a tiny bit too bright. “I saw my quarters yesterday for the first time and had to remind myself that I am no longer on Earth. It’ll take me a bit to figure out what to do.”

“I got my bookshelves set up so I consider that a huge win on my part.” Quinn retorted with a cheeky grin. She had not finished putting the books on the shelves but the shelves were together. Her couch was royal blue and she had several thick silk covered pillows scattered around the room in colors from crimson, silver, royal blue and emerald green. The same colors from her family tartan which hung on the wall near her bed along with a Dream Catcher that a friend made especially for her.

“Honestly, things are so busy already that I don’t expect to get to get to decorating for a bit yet.” She sipped her coffee and then Leah took another bite of the pastry. It was honestly such a treat that she sighed a little with smile on her face. “But these pastries might make up for that fact.”

“Got to enjoy what we can when we can since we never know what is next.” Which was true, the ship could get called to help with just about anything. Patients could be unpredictable as well. She still well remembered one of the training days on Earth while she was still a cadet, a patient had an adrenaline reaction and had attacked herself and two other trainees before he was subdued by another Doctor. One of the trainees had quit because of the damage done to her face. Quinn had gotten lucky with only a broken arm, the other trainee stayed right until graduation before saying they were going to stay on Earth instead of taking a ship bound assignment. “If you want some help with decoration I don’t mind helping.” she said lightly.

Leah couldn’t help but smile. “You know, while I know how I want to decorate and I did bring what I could with me, extra hands would get it done faster and then maybe it’ll actually be done and not just sitting in piles until I have another spare moment that isn’t me sleeping,” she said with a laugh.

Quinn finished her hot chocolate with a grin and set the empty mug down and made a show of her now empty hands. “Mine are free now, but I can help anytime you ask truthfully.” Quinn said with a cheekily playful grin, she didn’t want to have Leah rush through the pastry or anything else.

Leah chuckled. “I’d say now but I’m honestly really tired and I have a long day ahead of me. I was travelling on six different ship over the last two weeks to get here. How about you give me three days to get settled and then we can tackle things if we’re both off at the same time. I’m not sure what my schedule will be like honestly, but I figure we can just wing it?”
