As yet another person walked in, Kalika frowned. Her hand rested on the Doc’s a moment as she lowered her voice for him only, though the CO would hear, being so close. “Tath… The XO has every right to be here if the Captain is compromised, but I don’t think the Counselor is a good idea yet. She isn’t talking, period. And I think trying to put another doctor in front of her isn’t going to help much.” She dropped her hand with a soft blush. “I mean, you are the Doctor and know what’s best. Sorry.” She fell silent and tried to get Victoryia’s attention once more.

“Vic… it’s Kali. Tell me what happened, hun. What’s wrong?” She rubbed the woman’s arm lightly up and down in a soothing manner. She hoped she could get thru to her. It was starting to get more and more unsettling as the time wore on and she didn’t get a response.

Viktoryia could hear everything going around her and there was too many people. Once more she spoke “it wasn’t this ship not this time.” Her voice was soft but shaky.

Not sure that people here would understand she kept quite. If she told them now the things she tried to keep quite about her past would come out and she wasn’t sure that they would understand

“Perhaps this was a symptom of something nearby.” Avarak was honestly quite surprised that the captain was in such a state. “Many ships have had crew members experiencing certain psychological conditions caused by the composition of a particular location, or something nearby that affected them.”

Lt. Avarak (Counsellor)

Kalika took this chance to speak up. “Lieutenant Avarak, would you be so kind as to see if you can work with Sciences and see if that’s a possibility, please? If so, there are probably far more detrimental cases on the ship that need attention. We have it under control here. But I doubt Science, or Medical, would think to look in the direction you are thinking. Can you please see if you all can figure something out? The whole ship could be at risk.”

It was a long shot, she knew, but something had to be done and everyone standing around in here wouldn’t help any.

“A valid point,” Michelle spoke up. She turned to Avarak. “Can you sense anything telepathically that might give us an indication as to what is going on?”

If the Captain was seeing ghosts, maybe she would see Kristi. She was going to wait till the room was less crowded, though. No point in everyone thinking the Captain had lost it.

Her vision and attention gazed back to the XO. If this was the ‘new person’ she was supposed to be seeing, then she needed to find out why.

Tath was diagnosing the captain, he felt Kal’s hand on his shoulder. “What did happen? My scans are showing she is not injured, she is just terrified from whatever happened. I agree, she doesn’t need a lot of people asking her questions. I don’t mean to disrespect him, but, I’m closer to her than he is, so I feel she would be more willing to talk to me.” He was talking to Lt. Darz, but considering everything going on, he wasn’t sure she heard him. He got up and faced the group. “Counselor, it is nice to meet you, although not under these circumstances. She is fine, just needs some space. She’s not talking much right now. One of my ensigns would be happy to help you, I’m staying here with K… Lt. Darz and the XO.”
Lt. Sharvi, CMO

Kalika sighed in relief. The XO and Doc were the only ones needed here. And she only thought that because she wasn’t brave enough to chase out the XO. If the CO was truly unfit at the moment, the Commander had every right to know.

She turned back to Vik to try and get her attention. “If it wasn’t the ship, tell me what it was, Viktoryia. Please. Tell me who it was.” She was pleading now and she hated how weak she sounded. She flashed a moment to the other ship. A time when that same pleading voice was begging please. Shuddering with the memory, she focused on the Captain once more.
