Avarak shifted the papers on his desk a centimetre to the left. He had shifted it earlier, but apparently it wasn’t enough for him. He wanted to make sure that his office looked as welcoming as possible, especially since the rest of the ship was so dreary and dark. He even had a couple of his own soft light sources set up to make his office warmer. He glanced over at the portable replicator that he had brought with him and saw that all of the status lights were green. Considering what he had heard about the bugs in the ship, he’d much rather use his own equipment that wasn’t connected to the rest of the ship, or the main computer. He glanced at the clockwork antique on his desk and noticed that it was just about time for his next appointment.
