Mike and Kristi exited the turbo lifts while the others continued towards the shuttlebay.
“Stick close to me. There shouldn’t be anyone here, but you never know.”
Deck 30 wasn’t large, and there wasn’t any crew qurters here, just phaser arrays. After walking for a minute they had to stop though. The outer hull was missing with half the phaser array. They could see out in the space.
Mike shook his head. “I have no idea what is happening. The ship’s without most of the power. I doubt out integrity fields have any juice left. This should be vacuum now. Not that i’m complaining.” He sighed deeply. “It feels like I failed my mission. If I learn this was a sabotage, I doubt I’ll be able to see myself in the mirror again. It was the one thing i was sent to investigate and prevent. I’ll be lucky if i get the rank of ensign if that is the reason.” He shook his head, as if to shake the negative thoughts away.
“We should head back to others, before they leave without us.”
