So I wanna take a sec and throw a bit of myself out there, maybe get to know some of you. This is my first XO post on the ship, and I’ve so far enjoyed working with some of the writers here on STF. While I know this may be a lull period for some of you when it comes to posting, I also want to encourage you to keep in touch with Kelpie/Sharah and myself if things come up or you have ideas for side sims (or even the main ones). Feel free to pop into my Discord DMs and say hello, too, because I don’t bite. Much. I may not respond right away, but I’ll get back to you, and I’m always happy to brainstorm and work through story ideas. It’s always helpful to know what drives the player as much as the character.
One of the greatest pieces of advice I can give to anyone is that excitement builds on itself, just as burnout can. If you’re stuck, just not feeling it that day, or aren’t sure how to words a thing, let us know! At heart, I would like to think of us all as a team working together to put out the best and most interesting story we can alongside our hardworking GMs and staff. If we can keep our ships from looking and feeling dead, new members will get excited and want to jump in… even if it’s just to do silly side sims to pass the time whilest our GM comes up with the next “WHOA!” moment.
