It seems like we have quite a few people struggling to participate in the current material, either because of the transition from the older Viking to its current direction or because they are new. Maybe you want to tweak your bio a bit for a better fit, give a splash of new life to what you’ve already established. Maybe you’re just not feeling your current character but don’t want to lose your position. Maybe you’re just not sure where to jump in, or how. I want everyone to feel comfortable with the new direction I am taking the Viking, and I’ll need your help to do it.I’m offering everyone a kind of do-over, a chance to soul search and find your joy in writing for the Viking. Until the end of the month, I’m willing to entertain adjustments to their characters and help everyone find their place here with us. I’d love to see all our wonderful writers posting and having fun with us again. If you genuinely feel like the Viking is not the place for you, please let me know; it’s unfortunate, but it happens and is understandable. My ultimate goal is to get everyone participating at our regular, medium pace (3/5/7) as soon as possible so that we don’t lose momentum.
While engagement in our main sim is important, Jason and I want to encourage you to dig deep and explore your own stories with side sims as well. Let us know who they are, what they love and regret. Help us get to know them as you do. If you need someone to write with, let us know or collaborate with others! We’re even willing to play those wacky NE guest spots if you need. We have new writers, so there are plenty of opportunities to engage. But we cannot help you if we don’t know what you need.
Reach out. Help out. Branch out. If we want to see an active ship, it’s going to take us working together.

In that vein, I have an idea for a side sim to help develop some of the back story for the Counselor. If anyone is interested in helping me, let me know!
