Byrnarterro had just finished the chapter of Alice in Wonderland that he was reading when he was visited by the first officer having sent an Ensign to inform Sickbay that he would be along soon in regards to the ship’s recent visitors. A genetic model of what to look for so that such things don’t happen again was always a good basis to start.

Ten minutes after the Ensign said, the andorian entered the sickbay looking for the duty nurse. “Hi there, I’m looking for Doctor DeLion?” he asked at the desk.

Andromeda rounded the corner with a grin. She loved a well-timed entrance. “Ask and ye shall receive. I’m Doctor DeLion, how can I help you?” Hopefully, she wasn’t already supposed to know. She’d been knee-deep in paperwork, possibly literally if paper had still been a thing.

Byr could see the look of someone that had too much work to do in the Doctor’s eyes, so apart from a slight twitch of one of his antennae, no frustration was shown when the doctor asked. “Ah, yes, Doctor,” he began. “I’m here to check out the physiology of our recent intruders. Some way to make their personal cloaking devices not as… effective while on board,” he added. “I had been… taken with the rest of the crew to some strange place during the intrusion so unfortantely I haven’t had a chance to look at them yet. It might help to know what exactly we’re looking for before I work on how to counteract the thing hiding it,” he explained.

Andromeda looked a little closer at Byrnarterro. “I remember something about that. You lot eating untested food or something like that.” She shrugged. “Wasn’t here yet so it’s not my concern. But let me get this straight. You want to autopsy random aliens… to figure out their technology? Is it hiding their life signs from internal sensors or something?” She spoke with a faint Hispanic accent, but her foreign pronunciation was unusually good. “Also it’s Byrnarterro right? I’m Andromeda unless I can convince you to call me Andy.” She’d already tried to convince her staff, but they’d refused. Figures.

“As someone who’s name is hard to verbalise for a non-andorian, I understand the ease of shortening one’s name. In any unofficial capacity, Andy it will be Doctor,” Byr replied with a smile. “And if you find it difficulty, Byr is fine, but you have managed to do it rather well, I must say,” he commented. “According to the First Officer, that seems to be the case, yes. Probably some personal cloaking technology if I’d hazard a guess. It’s not unheard of, but not very common,” he explained what he learned from the conversation he had. “I was actually going to be heading to Security next to see if they were finished with the technology. I’m sure the twins will want to get a look at it as well,” he pondered out loud.
