Asher still on a buzz from recently arriving and meeting with the Captain he was quickly moving through the ship, well quickly wasn’t the word someone else might use because he was stopping at every person he saw who would entertain him as he gave out gummy sweet which he often tucked away in his pocket, individually wrapped of course. It was amazing how receptive the crew was. Eventually, though he finally made it to sickbay and his next victim the chief medical officer, he knew they’d likely work closely with one another so best get the introduction out the way on day one. It would be a bit weird if he just turned up and sat in his officer, that and he knew the pain of chasing people up for their check ups.

Andromeda, in a rare moment of no-one-is-checking-in, had sat down all the doctors and nurses to play two truths and a lie, as an icebreaker. They hadn’t gotten very far, and it was quickly devolving into telling stories, so Andromeda would welcome an interruption.

Asher noticed the gaggle of doctors and nurses who all seemed to be enjoying themselves, it was nice to see a department getting to have some quality team bonding time and he internally tic’d that box for medical. “Excuse me, sorry to bother you all.” He started having moved towards then, “I am Lt Miller the new chief counsellor.” Asher smiled and gave a little wave. “Which one of you fine people would like to conduct my medical, I mean by all means finish your, what is it your doing?” Maybe he’d be able to use it for other departments.

Andromeda stood up quickly and strode over to Asher. “I introduced ‘em to spacer games. Lost of time to waste when you’re travelling at Warp 2. Come on over Lieutenant, I’ll get your check-in outta the way.” She gestured to the biobed furthest from the game, leaving them to continue the loud stories.

“Oh that sounds fun” but he could sense that the woman wanted to get away by the way she was quickly enough to accommodate his needs. Asher followed her over to again the furthest point away from where the other doctors were sitting and sat himself on the Bio bed. “So Lieutenant?” he said lingering the sentence so it come across as a question, from the otherside of the room he could hear the laughing of the other officer. It was good to see morale so high.
