“Commander..” Eleyr raised a furry eyebrow and tended her head toward the space Atoded had occupied, a disapproving look once more assuming position on her lips. “If that’s how you treat a woman, we’re going to have a little chat about manners.” She wrinkled her nose and lifted a hand toward a gourd-shaped jar poking from another crate. “You even denied her the decency of glorious Targ jerky for her travels.”

What? What did he just order the…and she was gone in a swirl of blue. ‘Rick,’ and she only called him Rick when she was mad. ‘I am too tired for your games today. What…CRAP!’ her voice faded from his mind. She was in his quarters. Which was fine with her. She’d go poking around except for one thing. A very very frantic Fenris. He’d been ordered to guard Richard and his charge had disappeared. Fenris was racing the room tearing at the door and was now using his massively powerful jaws to rip the moving crate apart. He could smell Richard’s scent on the items inside. It was a scary and overwhelming situation for Brenna. Betazoid’s could sense the emotions and passions of animals, and often could get lost in them. It was only years of training and working with dogs like Fenris, Geri, and Fekri that allowed her the sense of self to not help the dog rip open the crate in panic. Poor Fenris thought Richard was trapped in there. =^=Computer lock onto K9 Fenris and transport immediately to Counselor Eleyr’s office!=^= Once Fenris was gone she sat on the floor, head between her knees, till the spinning stopped.

The ship’s computer randomly replied, “YOU’RE WELCOME COMMANDER. TRANSPORT COMPLETE.”

Richard pivoted off of his back left heel and faced Eleyr once again, “Sorry for all of the commotion Lieutenant. Now, shall we begin?” He then realized that he sent Commander Atoded to his quarters, “Damn, did I just transport her to my quarters? I meant to say ‘2O Quarters’. That is what I get for being rushed and using slang apparently. I have the utmost confidence that she will find her way from here though. I do have dog hair free pants now after all.” Richard smirked.

“Ha—” Eleyr’s attempt at a response was interrupted by the faint haze on impending transportation. Eye’s slightly bugged, she leaned back on her heels.

A moment later, Richard was on his back pinned by the massive 58 lb Siberian Husky who was growling in so low a register it couldn’t be heard. His nose taking in all the scents in the room, his eyes scanning until he knew for sure that his new found ‘Dad’ was safe and unharmed. Once he did, Richard was gifted the unbounded and overwhelming experience of a dog who has not seen their owner in a century. Tongue lapping, tail wagging dangerously fast, and happy shedding filling the room with dog hair and dander.

Hair bathed her office in varying shades of grey and white, permeating her walls with the distinct musk of an excited pupper. Eleyr was rapturous. Dogs were worthy companions whose presence begged a dopamine rush. There was no better aroma, in her humble opinion, to soothe her patients. Without mention of her epiphany, Eleyr squinted at Richard. “Ahem,” she coughed, “you were saying about dog hair…?”

— Eleyr, CNS

Richard shrugged his shoulders casually in response to the dog hair and was ready at this point to get through this already wildly entertaining counseling session with a Klingon. Attending Starfleet counseling sessions was not his favorite required past time over the duration of his career. He tilted his head slightly and met Eleyr’s gaze, “Anyways, Lieutenant, Moving right along. I am here for my boarding counseling session.”

He wanted to keep her on task as he had already been there for a little bit, “Did you have any questions for me? Do you do talk first? Do I talk first?” He had a look of curiosity spread across his face, “Are we going to battle with on another to evoke my feelings on psychological issues? I love a great fight!” A wide grin came across his face in response to his thoughts of the prospect of that idea actually playing out here in her office.

Richard’s apparent excitement at the prospect of a fight led Eleyr to consider it. And eventually..

“Tonight,” Eleyr marched over to her crate and pulled from it a pair of gnarled sticks, “we duel. You win, I clear you for duty. You lose, I still clear you for duty with the exception of gagh for breakfast.” She tossed one to him and took a step back. “The only rule is.. there are no rules. Whoever knocks the other’s stick from their hands, wins.”

“You have the first shot,” Eleyr grinned, widening her stance to a slight crouch. “Now tell me, Commander, what brought you to Starfleet?”

– Eleyr, CNS

This was the most unique counseling session that Richard had ever had in his entire Starfleet career. Eleyr did not even ask him to sit down, relax, have a drink like every other counselor that he had ever has a meeting with up to that point.

He looked up slightly at the taller Klingon woman and his tone was curious, “How about we skip the commentary and go straight to the fighting later?” He grinned and really wanted to know if she would actually skip the basics to go to the fun part of the session.

He was one for counseling sessions personally and was willing to risk the gagh breakfast along with several severe bruises to avoid talking about himself in a personal manner. Besides, Brenna was already a counselor and she read him just like a computer reads a program with her Betazoid mental super powers.
