Emery set out a few mannequins with a few outfits she had made on them, one had a ball gown, one had a uniform, and the last had a pants suit. There was a shelf with a few hats meant for different head styles including allowing for Andorian antenni or other species specific needs.

Emery wasn’t sure about the full crew compliment yet but she hoped that the current setup would be enough to get a few folks interested enough to take a look at her tailoring creations.

In the meantime she started reading and debating about what to start on next.

Brenna walked through the door and looked around and then began to wander from outfit to outfit. Being the daughter of her mother she knew quality of material and design when she saw it. It had been a very long time since she’d had reason to buy clothing for herself, just because, and not for work or an op or a formal Federation event. She had the whole week off and she was going to do this for herself. She may never have reason to wear it, but that was okay.

“Welcome, are you looking for something in particular or are you wanting to make a request for an outfit?” Emery asked with a smile looking up at her guest, it was her first guest since arriving and she was more than ready to start designing something new. Though if she had what was wanted already it wasn’t hard to make another or alter to fit if that was all that was needed. That was the adaptive part of being a tailor, creation, and changes as needed.

Brenna smiled, “I’m not sure. It has been a very very long time since I have had need of anything that wasn’t simply functional.” Brenna grinned, “I’m very tempted to just let you ‘go to town’ as it were. I have a few days off for myself and I think something new would be wonderful.”

Emery gave a delighted laugh, “Oh well do you want some new causal wear or something for special events? Or are you looking to just expand your wardrobe?” Once she had a better idea of what Breanna wanted she would be better able to meet it.

Brenna thought about it. “Something comfortable to wear all day, but nice enough for date night.” She was having a date with Richard. She knew she was because the man wasn’t going to leave her alone and sooner rather than later, she knew he was going to insist. And she was more than happy to agree.

The two heard heavy footsteps passing by the room they currently occupied.

Brenna looked towards the door. The foot falls were awfully heavy and Brenna didn’t know of anyone who walked that heavy footed. Not that she knew everyone on board, and so her curiosity got the better of her and she walked over to the door and into the hall, glanced in the direction she heard the foot steps.

She would see no one in the corridor, and the sound would be faint.

Emery frowned the heavy footfalls had sounded through the closed doorway to make the fine hairs of the back of her neck stand on end, in reaction to sense of forbidden. When Breanna walked to the doorway she had intended to ask her to wait but it was too late.

The doorway parted but she didn’t have the view Breanna did, “What was that?” She asked as she edged closer to Breanna and the doorway. The ideas she was pondering for the outfit still fresh in her mind but her nerves said it was best for caution.
