Brenna, after being convinced to stay yet another night, was blissfully hiding under the blankets enjoying yet another day off. Richard had left for his shift taking Fenris with him. Geri seemed to be having a harder time with the situation than Fekri and Fenris. Fenris was like a 12 week old puppy with a giant bone for the first time. He couldn’t get enough of Richard. Fekri seemed content to greet Fenris enthusiastically at the end of the day and leave it at that. Geri on the other hand whined all day, sniffing at Fenris’ bed and food dish, his toys, and when he finally reappeared at the end of the day, Geri would not leave him alone. Two cold noses made their way under the blanket and nudged her hand. “Oh come on boys. Didn’t you eat with Fenris?” She groaned as she heard the whines. “Okay okay I’m up.” She slipped out from under the blanket and pushed the mass of hair out of her face. Fekri and Geri dancing around. They needed to go OUT.

She walked into the bathroom, picked up her hair brush and worked the knots out of her hair and then pulled it back using the clips on the counter. Brushed her teeth, washed her face, and then reappeared in the bedroom. She smiled with a glance at the closet, Richard’s things were always half sneaking out of the closet. She shook her head at the dresses hanging in the closet. She shook her head, “D$^& I replicated a lot of duplicates in 4 days. This is crazy, it’s like I live here.” She pulled one out and slipped it on, a warm pink, form fitting, floor length dress with long sleeves, and in traditional Betazoid fashion and a-symmetrical neckline. She slipped her feet into soft soled ballet style slippers and calling Fekri and Geri she headed out and to the arboretum to let them run. While the dogs ran and got out their energy, Brenna was tapping away at on a PaDD. A for his eyes only message appeared on his console. Good morning, Richard......I woke up and you were gone, it made me sad.

A little while later another message popped up on Marsh’s console. Hey, you can’t ignore me Richard…I’m persistent. Maybe not as much as you though. BUT I know what today is! He could almost hear the sing-song tone of her voice. It’s your birthday. And I got you a Captain America Cake! And for your present…I decorated your OFFICE!

Richard looked over his PADD after hearing a few notifications go off while he sat in his office chair watching sporting even highlights. His ocean blue eyes scanned through the messages that Brenna had sent over to him. The girl could not resist him and he knew it all to well. He secretly was extremely excited about having a Captain America cake, so much that he wanted to dress up in secret with Brenna. He thought that it could be Steve and Peggy in the holodeck performing a re-enactment. The only problem is that Brenna being a Betazoid had no idea who the Captain really what and hat he stood for as a character in the Marvel universe. However, he had devised a plan to watch through all of the old films from over 300 years ago. An ancient movie watch party is what he would propose to his lady.

Richard responded, ‘Yes, I am in my office and can see that. Thank you!’

Then over the ships comm came the whistle and then, “Attention Constellation Crew. This is your 2O speaking. Today is Lt Cmdr Marsh’s Birthday! Commence the Birthday Pranks! Atoded Out!”

Richard blushed as he sat comfortably in his chair and listened to Brenna’s overhead message. He totally grinned which went along well with his red cheeks. This will be an interesting evening with Brenna, but he strongly looked forward to it.

He texted Brenna, ‘What time would you like to meet tonight?’

He then set his PADD down on his desk and resumed watching sports highlights. The ship was in a transitional period without a Captain, so he figured he might as well slack off a bit and do what he wants for his birthday. Why not? He was the acting boss man anyways.
