From behind the bush a deep sigh could be heard. “Um, I don’t mean to be pushy but a hand would be nice!” An irritated voice called out.

Having crawled out of the shuttle and dusting herself off, Ryalla’s antennae twitched as she heard a familiar sound. “…dad…?!” She asked in a whimper before running over behind the bush. “Please help my dad!” She squeaked to the team as she gripped onto him, afraid to let go.

The tricorder readings showed a large group of the small creatures moving towards them from deeper in the forest.

Mother Hen

Hearing someone was in trouble he turned and ran to help.

Gong’da CMO

“Where’s your dad?” Emily asked following the small one toward the bush. She looked at Gong’da “Was this your idea of light duty?” She asked him with a chuckle.

Bradford (eng)

Gong’da was panting a little from everything that was happening abs now trying to keep up with everyone going to help with his little legs.. Hearing Bradford’s response he chuckled.

“No. This is not what I had in mind either!”

Torgh sighed back, which, for a Klingon sounded more like a throaty growl. At this rate they would be making camp here for the night. Dad? What was this that was going on? And what of these little people? Were they relations of the Nish’ma? Did ‘they’ want a bite out of him too? His senses as a Klingon bade him to ‘do’ something, some form of action. The Counselor side felt they needed activity too but for the life of him, with these ‘visitors’ he didn’t know what. Yet.

Emily gave a wry smile and turned her attention back to the girl “Now, where’s your father?” She asked gently

Bradford (eng)

Ryalla popped her head out from behind the bush. “He’s right here, please help, he’s hurt!” She called desperately as she cradled his head in her lap. Gently stroking his white hair she sobbed as she looked down at his bruised form.

Mother Hen

Gong’da knelt down and started to examine the body.

Emily turned “Cap’n we have an injured civilian over here.” She said stepping back to let Gong’da get down next to the child and her father “My name’s Emily.” She spoke to the child “Why don’t you come over here with me and let our doctor take care of your dad.” She said offering her hand to the child to get her away from the situation.

Byr was focusing on keeping his eyes out for supplies, when the voices were heard. He noted that the Engineer had already dealt with it, and thought that probably best given his current orders. He checked his PaDD to see how many hours of daylight the planet had, and looked up towards the planets’ star to see if he could estimate how long they had before it would be getting dark.

Torgh moved in as close as he could to see the ‘father’. In a small side thought he pondered that everyone here would be rowing to Sto’vo’kor had the shuttle blown up on impact. They, the little people, and this ‘dad’ would have been cinders. Idly he wondered if the crash had injured him with flying wooden debris from the forest about them. He had yet to really ‘see’ these ‘little people’ as well. Pushing away from where the doctor was attending to ‘dad’ - which was good, keep the doctor busy and he wouldn’t be trying to make more meals out of him - he looked for these elusive munchkins.

He saw Byr and came up close to him. “What have you?” He asked. “Have you scanned these little people? Are they indigenous? Do you think they could guide us?” In short, he was wondering, had anyone yet struck up a dialogue with them? WHY didn’t people come in regular size, not something that his pet Targ would look at as though wondering if they were lunch or not. With that thought he cast a quick glance at the doctor.

Emily continued to coax the child away from the situation to allow the medical professionals do their job “Where do you live?” She asked the child “Can you tell us how far from here?”

Bradford (eng)

Byr was scanning and tried to remember if he had seen anything about “little people” in the PaDD he read on the planet on the way to the surface.
Ensign Byrnarteerro Chriaqer, Science.

The captain was located a few metres behind them were he had been observing some of the natural plant life that surrounded them. “Interesting” he began by saying. “I may have to bring a science team down here when this is all done” the captain went on to say. Turning to catch up with the rest of the team Chris heard the familiar sound of his Engineer alerting him that someone had been found injured. Running over he came to an abrupt halt and spoke. “Report” he bellowed in an authoritative manner as Gong’da examined the father. Remaining silent for a report Chris moved closer to one of his Science Officer, looking over Byr’s shoulder he began to study the information present on the PaDD.
