OCC: This take place after the briefing by the Captain.IC: It had been a quiet couple weeks after the Europa left. NC Jameson, a young crewmen from beta shift was manning the impulse generator display. Routine for a non commissioned officer, and while they were at warp, boring work. He had just turned 21 a week before they departed Starbase 51. He was excited for career, he hoped that he could eventually be commissioned as an officer. He was rejected for star fleet academy, but tested well in engineering and operations to take a non-comm role in star fleet. He knew that if he worked hard, he could maybe qualify for the academy again. As he sat there thinking, he didn’t noticed at first an error that appeared on his display. The flashing red light caught his attention and he turned to look.
The display showed a that there was a heat issue with the slush deuterium from the main tank. The deuterium wasn’t being cooled enough as it fed into impulse engine #3.
Jameson tuned to look around, looking for an officer.-GMT
