“Doesn’t make too much sense right now, the logs could be helpful.”

“Sure,” the Captain said somewhat absently as he kept thinking the scenario through.

=/\= Avik, this is the Captain. Report to the Bridge. =/\=

Better have her lead it, and stay to captain the ship if we can move it under its own power back to base. Though Sullivan will have to take a look. Assuming it’s even in that good of a condition… maybe I’m getting ahead of myself here…

“Sorry, systems are nominal, but they still abandoned ship? Does it look like it’s still capable of warp speed?”

– Johann Dvorak, CO

“I see damage, but it doesn’t look like it has compromised the superstructure. If the warp drive is active, she should be able to travel.” Steven tried to get a computer link. “I’m sending the prefix code, see if I can get control of her remotely.”

Marsh

OOC: So, I made one mistake in using the word nominal. Or it was autocorrect. I’ve no idea at this point. But the ship is damaged, though it is intact. I’ll amend things a bit to help this.
IC:
The code should have worked but the computer didn’t respond.

Vora frowned slightly. “Getting further readings as we get closer. Looks like life support is non-existent. There’s significant damage to the EPS, and while the warp core is intact, without significant repairs I doubt the Tian An Men is going anywhere soon. The weapons signatures are strange too. They are mixed. I don’t really think it was multiple ships. Or at least not more than two, but there are more weapons signatures than would be accounted for unless the ships were using using cobbled together systems they had patched together. We don’t usually see mixed signatures like that unless you have a group of ships cooperating or we’re talking mercenaries or pirates. And the damage was targeted. Effective and quick is my guess.”

Pirates… Johann thought. Well, sounds like we better scrap the prize crew idea… if we can’t get it moving quick than we’d better not stick around…

Marsh was unconvinced, pirates taking out the Tian An Men, “That would be like a lion being taken down by a pack of poodles.” Nor did Marsh like leaving a Starship lying around. It wasn’t honorable. Maybe an inside man.

For her part, Abrams ignored the tone in Vora’s voice, filtering everything simply as information. It was either that or have a breakdown and right now they were too close. She looked at the Captain with an expectant look as if to say ‘I’m ready to go’. She didn’t want to waste any more time. As it was, too much had passed.

~Vora & Cassidy

The Captain noted the look from Abrams but did not use it to rush to the decision that he had already reached.

“Mister Marsh, why don’t you and Miss Abrams beam over and find out what you can about where the crew went? Go quickly, I don’t want to stay sitting here any longer than necessary with hostile ships about.”

Oh thank God, Cassidy thought. She would have been completely willing to stand there and make a point of her going, but was glad she was saved that likely embarrassment.

“Go to Yellow Alert,” he ordered the officer at Tactical. The bridge lighting changed slightly along with the mild electronic screeching tone that was intended to raise alertness.

– Johann Dvorak, CO

“Aye Sir,” He nodded at Abrams… “Environmental Suits, phasers and a power cell.”

Marsh

“Is it safe to beam over? Close, if not on the bridge?” Abrams asked, glancing at Vora.

Checking her readings and zooming in on the bridge area, it looked reasonable. “It’s clear of radiation, so transporter should be able to get a lock on coordinates. I’ll send them to Room One.”

Cassidy nodded and simply headed for the tubolift. Once she grabbed her equipment, they should hopefully be able to get in and out.

Ensign Abrams, Security

Vora was nervous for her friend for many reasons but the best thing she knew she could do right now was to keep an eye on the sensors and watch for any sign that things weren’t what they seemed.

=^=Europa we have small arms fire on the Bridge, but no bodies. That suggests that whatever happened the Tian An Men crew got away taking their wounded with them.=^=
