Madison made her way to the impulse engine and began scanning to see what exactly was going on and why there was an issue with the deterium. She didn’t like her engines not functioning properly.

CE

Initial attempts were unsuccessful in cooling down the deuterium. Inside the control room everything looked normal, except for a display that indicated that deuterium temperature was at 87% of maximum stable temperature and rising. It appeared that something was preventing the coolant from getting to the deuterium tank.

Matty grumbled as she began back tracking the problem from where the coolant entered the deterium chamber looking for how it was blocked or how to get the coolant flowing again. It was going to take a bit of time to track down the issue.

CE

A simple back track showed that coolant supply to the Deuterium tank seemed to be steady. Yet coolant wasn’t reaching the tank.

bump

Matty growled as she began another set of scans stopping every couple of feet looking for a locked down valves or blockages. She was at the point that she was going to have to flush the entire system.

CE

Matty found a valve that appeared to have been locked down. A computer readout of the nearby panel showed that the valve was tripped by excess pressure in the line, but there was no evidence that the line had excess pressure.

-GMT

Matty stopped at the valve and carefully began unlocking it, watching for any unusual pressure build ups happening.

CE

There was no unusual buildup in the line, coolant seemed to be flowing normally. As she checked the valve, a warning alarm sounded. Deuterium flow to the impluse engine suddenly spiked, causing a surge of pressure. However, there was no reaction to the impulse reactors.

Matty growled and shut the valve again =^=Captain, we’ve got a bigger problem, I don’t know what’s going on. We’ve got spikes in the deuterium flow and I can’t figure it out. I’m working on it, but I need to get the coolant working again.=^=

CE

As the CE spoke something caught her eye near the valve. Something appeared to be engraved on the side of the deuterium valve. It looked like a snake was wrapped around the body of a humanoid female with the snakes head appeared to be hissing on the women’s shoulder. It appeared to be crudely done.
