“I’ll want to look at your critically injured people right away,” Zeke said. “First off, to see who gets transported by shuttle via injury priority. Second, to stabilize anyone who needs it.”

CMO

Commander Abrams nodded to Drake and gestured to where the medical staff were prepping the TAM’s wounded. “By all means, follow me.”

Norene led them through the small encampment to the most sheltered area were being treated. They had set up something of a shelter using a couple runabouts and had the most critical inside, while an outer staging area had a triage and treatment area for walking wounded that had been covered with whatever materials they could cobble together.

The XO moved to the runabouts and approached a Bolian in med blue. “Lieutenant Hodron, status?”

The TAM’s CMO turned to the trio and Commander Abrams. “We have the critical ready to go. We can use our own runabouts (OOC: Why didn’t I think of that before??) and I’ve got six that should go up in their runabout,” he said, gesturing to Steven and Cassidy. “The rest can wait and go up with the next round. There’s a dozen who are ambulatory cases.”

“Max?” Norene asked hopefully.

“Stable enough, but she needs surgery and a sterile environment,” Hodron said rather grumpily.

Commander Abrams gave a weak smile. “Almost there, Hodron.” She gestured to Zeke. “This is Doctor Drake. Why don’t you walk him through things and he’ll help get everything set up.”

She gazed at him for a long moment and it was like an unsaid question passed between them. “The same,” the Bolian said quietly and Norene simply nodded.

With a gesture of her head, the older Abrams encouraged Steven and Cassidy to follow her into the second runabout. The inside dining and sleeping areas had been rejigged where possible to make room for people, but it was makeshift at best, though there was at least a bit of space to move about. Norene moved to a person on the floor and move to sit on the deck behind his head. He was one of four in the dining space. One of the junior med staff watched and simply gave the commander a nod.

Cassidy’s eyes traced the gaunt feature of his olive-toned face and the mussed curve of his dark hair. She watched her mother look over her husband and then at the padd that had been set up as bio readings display. before she rested a hand on his shoulder protectively. Steady on Cass. Steady on. Taking a deep breath, she glanced at Steven and moved closely, kneeling beside her father.

Cass looked at Steven. “This is my father, Adir. Normally he’d be the one to crack a joke right about now.”

OOC: We can split this thread, if that’s easier for you both.

“Good Morning Sir… We have the Europa in Orbit. We’re going to get you up to her in a few minutes. Your daughter did a hell of a job finding you… never could have done it without her.”

It initially looked like the man might be unconscious, but Cassidy had known better after her initial quick glance at his readings. Adir stirred at the voices and sort of gazed half-lidded at them, though it was hard to tell if he could actually see them properly. “Daughter… I have one. She’s on a ship too. You should meet her… sometime.” Cass did her best to swallow the lump forming in her throat and adopt a mask of neutrality. But she did reach out and rest a hand on his leg.

“Shhhh…” Shara said gently, running a hand over his head and smoothing his dark hair. “Just rest.” She looked up at them. “He’s been a bit delirious the last day or so.”

Behind them, more of the TAM’s bedraggled medical staff entered and moved towards them. Cass looked back and almost smiled, recognizing one of two medics, one male, one female, that approached. The man gave a wan smile. “Well, well, look who went and grew up,” he said.

“Hey Breach,” Cass said softly.

The man, ‘Breach’, knelt down and rested a hand on her shoulder. “You did your part, now we’re going to do ours.”

He didn’t make promises, and she didn’t want me too. Cass nodded and rose to her feet, stepping back slightly to be close to Steven. “How about you fly this one up? I’ll take ours back?” She knew that she needed emotional distance from her father’s condition and ones of them needed to make contact with the Europa.

Abrams, COS

“You don’t need to move him.’ Marsh nodded to Cassidy. “Stay close I’ll use your comm badge and site to site him to the shuttle craft.

Marsh looked at him. “It will only take about seven minutes.” Marsh didn’t do any fancy flying to get down here, but they were about to see what he could do on the way up. “I hope the put some Dramamine in you IV”
