“Does the vessel have a specific heading it is on? Or is it just flying around without a destination?” Nox asked.

Nox, CNS

I should have thought of that, the Captain thought. Pretty basic question here in space.

Marsh focus the optics on the registry code and the name on the hull. “I’m bringing up the name now.”

She’s in bad shape, I’m not sure she can make it where ever she was going. ” He started projecting out the course of the vessel ignoring a change of course if it was made when the Klingon vessel picked up the Europa. The effective range of a D-7 cruiser was well known.

Consulting the Klingon vessel’s prior flight path would lead to Kessik. Though it was fairly likely that an old D7 would burn out before getting that far. Registry brought up the name I.K.S. bortaS.

-GM Orchestrator

“It is His Emperor’s Imperial Klingon Ship. bortaS.”

“‘Revenge’,” Johann helpfully translated with what little Klingon he knew. “I think it’s one of the names they keep in service all the time.”

Avik’s eyes shifted to the Counselor, noting her questions. Both were sound and helpful as the XO digested the incoming information. Quietly to herself, she recapped all the data. It some times helped her think and distant herself from the information. An objective view.

It was strange to say the least. She turned to the rest of the crew, waiting for an answer on Nox’s question.

–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr

“Helm, make sure we’re not blocking their flight path. Use thrusters to nudge us out of their way,” the Captain ordered.

“If I were a century old Klingon ship computer, and I had no crew aboard, I’d probably be following some pre-programed flight plan to somewhere, assuming any Federation ships are hostile, since something very bad would have to happen to create this situation, and the very bad thing my creators were planning for is interstellar war with the Federation,” he thought aloud. “But if that were the case, I wouldn’t fire warning shots at Federation ships, because they’re the enemy. Unless…”

He finished the train of thought silently, and started giving orders again, this time to the computer. =/\= Computer, display this region of space on the Main Viewscreen.=/\=

=/\= Now, overlay historical Organian Treaty Zone established by the treaty in 2267. =/\=

– Johann Dvorak, CO

Mattie slid into the Engineering seat and listened to the conversation as she looked at the engineering console to make sure that nothing out of the ordinary was going on.

Dvorak’s map overlay would show that the Klingon vessel had entered territory negotiated as being neutral in the Organian Peace Treaty.

-GM Orchestrator

Mattie remembered this from her history classes “What does the Organian Peace Treaty have to do with any of this?” She asked looking at the forward view screen and the overlays.

CE

“It shouldn’t have anything, the Organian’s are notoriously inconsistent. 150 years ago when the treaty actually mattered the Organian’s weren’t renown for their discipline, sometimes they would strictly and immediately enforce regulations and others… they’d ignore completely.”

“Well…” Johann started. “The Klingons back then were not really interested in getting caught violating the treaty with open warfare. It was more their style to subvert neutral planets through schemes so that they’d win the development rights to them later at the negotiating table.”

He then turned to Sullivan and continued. “Which might be relevant here because that Klingon ship out there is from that era, and doesn’t seem to have any crew on it. Yet it fired a warning shot at us. I’m wondering if it’s following a century old contingency program.”

“We could go over… or wait until a Klingon ship gets here… its their problem anyways. There is no chance the D-7 gets anywhere before another Klingon ship gets here. We just warn the transports off…” Marsh wasn’t even certain the D-7 could run down a transport in its condition.

Marsh

“Oh, we should definitely go over,” the Captain said. “We should signal the Klingons about it as a courtesy, but with the state it’s in and no crew we can make a legitimate salvage claim.”

Abrams slipped onto the bridge quietly took over the tactical station, gathering info quickly from the readouts as well as what had happened so far from the ensign who had been at the station. Her brow furrowed at the curious set of events and details surround the Klingon ship itself. She was prepared to go over if necessary, but Cassidy couldn’t say she was thrilled with the idea of a ship acting on its own accord. “Kessik…” she said aloud before realizing she had spoken to the bridge. “Kessik Three and Four are Federation members. They’re Federation colonies. Why would an old Klingon ship have come from Kessik? Unless…” She held up a finger to indicate she was working on something and hunted for information about the Kessik system. “Maybe it wasn’t always? I’m checking to see what the deal is there, but the other question is always what diverted it from its flight path.”

Abrams, COS

“Those are good questions,” the Captain said, swiveling to face Abrams. “Let us know what you find out.” He then kept turning in his chair to face Avik.

“How is your Klingonese?”

– Johann Dvorak, CO

Mattie looked at Johann “Why would they send out a ship without a crew? I wonder if something happened aboard the ship that killed the crew or maybe they have it set from some other nefarious scheme if it is a ship from the past.” SHe said “Have we looked for chroniton particles that might indicate time travel?” She asked as she worked on repairing the console she was at.
