Having followed the group onto the bridge, Lia remained by the entrance to the room, shifting so that she could keep an eye on the door they had entered through while allowing the COS to clear the room. She listened with interest to hear what the engineer would find; hopefully it would provide some concrete guidance as to their next actions on board the ship.

Franklin seemed engrossed in his findings as he came to update Avik. “Log looks pretty normal for a patrol ship, but then it just stops. No mention of why. Just no further entries… and it stops march 26th, 2274 by our calendar. Which means this ship has bee running like this for a hundred and twenty years…”

-Franklin

Not taking her eyes off the space, Cass considered the new tidbit of information. “What happened in 2274? That’s a few years after the whole incident with V’Ger, right? And The Klingons’ alliance with Romulan broke up before that point.” She couldn’t think of anything off the top of her head that was significant about that date. Then again, maybe the date didn’t matter at all. Still, all this time. Figuring out what happened to the crew could be rather important.

Abrams, COS

“I think it is, but it doesn’t mean that’s the cause. We know one thing for sure. Something happened around that date, even if we don’t know what it is. We’ll only find out by looking for more data to confirm anything.” Avik stated, finding the information interesting. Since she didn’t dub in engineering, her mind couldn’t fathom how this ship could keep running.

She turned to the CoS. “I don’t think we’ll gain all the answers from the data logs. Should we start expanding our search?”

–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr

“One Hundred and Twenty-Two years is a long time…” Franklin drawled, half to himself as he poured over the last few log entries again. “I’m still waiting on my program to give me internal sensor data, the internal and external sensor logs ought to give us another clue. I’ll let you know as soon as the software returns a finding.” Franklin patted the tricorder and set it on a console where he began working on getting access to the ship’s main computer. He looked over one shoulder at Avik and the COS. “Sirs, I think we’re probably clear from a security standpoint, but it might be helpful to get someone to check out Sickbay and see if they can pull any pertinent medical data.”

-Franklin

Lia shifted her weight from side to side as she listened to the back and forth between the three other away team members. She had tried to take a moment to recall her history classes, but her mind had drawn a blank as she had purged that information long ago, once the classes were complete. As Franklin suggested that they split up, her attention quickly went back to the XO and the COS, eager to have something to do other than standing here, but not wanting to be forward enough to demand to accompany them. They might not even want that to be the plan, after all.
