Cassidy nodded. “So Ensign Adrie, why don’t you and Va’rek head to engineering. And myself, and Commander Avik and Lieutenant Nox can head to Sickbay. Let’s also keep an open channel.”

Abrams also considered the other important detail and addressed the XO. “We should also check0in with the ship and let them know we’re one the move and splitting up. I’d like them to keep a signal trace on us at all times.” Probably unnecessary, but the more things seemed weirdly normal here (despite the unusual circumstances), the more she felt a measure of anxiety growing. Her mind was operating at yellow alert for sure.

Upon hearing her name again, Lia bounced slightly on the balls of her feet and nodded her agreement, looking toward the engineer. “Let’s go,” she commented to him eagerly, mostly ignoring the rest of the conversation between her superiors with her new instructions as she impatiently waited for him to join her.

Adrie, Sec

“I go wherever you want me.” She said nodding. She didn’t like the feeling of the ghost ship, but did anyone?

Nox, CNS

“That crossed my mind already, but I wanted to be sure we had a plan before I did.” Avik commented, appreciating Abram’s concern with keeping the ship updated.

Upon hearing Adrie’s feet bouncing, her eyes shifted to the side and observed the behavior. Her poker face still on, Avik made a note of it. Her hand pressed to her communicator as she informed the ship.

=^= Avik to Europa. So far, we’ve found more questions than answers. According to the records, they all stop on the earth calendar March 26th, 2274. No explanation to why. We’re splitting up into two groups. One heading to sickbay and other heading to engineering. The Chief of Security thinks it’s a good idea for you to keep a signal trace on all us at all times and I agree with this. Something happened, but we don’t know what… yet. =^=

=/\= This is Europa, =/\= the Captain’s voice said. =/\= Understood. We will check historical records. Maintain regular status updates. Out. =/\=

Franklin nodded his assent at Adrie, and made to follow her. His tricorder stayed out and he made a point of keeping his blue eyes moving from scanner to surroundings and back as they moved down the corridor. It might’ve been because he was older, with a lot of salvage missions under his belt, or maybe he was just wary… However, Franklin proved to be a careful and deliberate Non-Com. He knew his job and he knew how to do it without getting killed… he hoped. Before they got too far away, he tapped his badge twice to leave the channel open and looked back to catch Abrams’ eye. Being separated in a strange environment might be necessary but it didn’t have to be stupid.
Franklin halted at the lift door, and tapped the control button, glancing at Adrie as they stopped.

“Here goes the neighborhood..” he grinned.

-Franklin

As soon as Franklin indicated his readiness for them to depart, Lia was darting to the corridor before him, remaining alert, but clearly eager to get a move on it. She glanced at Franklin’s tricorder and decided that she probably didn’t need to bring her own out if he was keeping an eye on things, so instead kept a careful hand on the weapon strapped to her as she halted in front of him at the lift door. She only offered a giggle at his remark, resisting the urge to again shift from side to side as they waited to move on in their search.

Adrie, Sec

Avik listened to the CO’s statement before nodded her approval. She released her hand from her comlink as she noticed the opposing reactions of the two officers. The Sec officer was eager and bouncy, seeming unable to wait to get started. An admirable quality in the right situation. Avik felt this one failed to be classified as such. Meanwhile, the engineer showed more restraint with hints of humor. She wondered if it was his way to ease the tension the mystery on the ship had created.

Either way, she didn’t dwell on it. She turned to Abrams, “Let’s get started. If anyone has issues, report them. Until we discover what happened, anything could be a clue to a bigger picture.”

–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr

Cassidy nodded and then headed for where the medical bay should be. Klingon ships did have one, even if t wasn’t the most extensive. But warriors still got injured and needed treatment, so there was usually something they had. Her phaser was still in her hand but at a relaxed half-ready position. She could react but she was calm as they moved through the derelict ship.

OOC: I figure we can split this when we get to our respective locations.

Abrams, COS
