Avik could relate to the concerns now that Marsh had aired them. She did find it strange that there was no signs of life in the windows. Granted, she didn’t get a chance to observe the ship like Marsh had.

“These are good points. Unfortunately, we can only theorize so much. We’re going to need to try something and see what happens. I think it is the only way we might get some understanding of what is possible and what isn’t.”

She turned her eyes to Sllryasa, ” It sounds like you have way or idea on how to ‘knock’ on the hull.”

Avik hoped by learning what this method was, it might open the door for other solutions or ideas.

Sllyrasa nodded slowly. “We have two automated ships in orbit. Essentially tug boats for our test craft and to provide maintenance to our space station. My first thought was to have them on either side of your ship to reflect the energy transmission from our planet onto the ship, but they can just as easily be used to ‘knock’ somewhere. We could try directing a signal of light through the windows and see if it attracts attention, but no light is being detected from them as it stands now.”

“There is a light transmission receiver, its a communication back up system when the Chambers Coil overloads the comm system. It’s a powered system as well so it’s probably off line anyways, but I can give you its location and the correct initiation pattern.” Marsh pulled up that and the morse alphabet on his tricorder and transmitted it to the nearest device capable of receiving the information. “Here’s both communications methods.” He looked off, “It would be so much more efficient if I was there… I could problem solve as the issues occurred.”

Sllyrasa shrugged at Marsh’s comment of efficiency. He waved his hand and the data was displayed on one of the main monitors. “Send one of the automated vessels to the required location and prepare to initiate the light communication method.” He said to one of the controllers then watched as the order was carried out.

For a brief moment, Avik found herself examining the situation. It was curious how Sllyrasa’s people were advanced in some ways and not so well in others. Culture would often influence the path that technology took.

Her eyes turned to Marsh for his reaction. It appeared that even while here, he could still adapt to unseen challenges.

Sienna stood by nervously as Sllyrasa and Marsh coordinated. She clasped her hands before her with a pressure that left small half circles in her palms. Her eyes went up to the sky for a long moment as she willed herself to remain calm. No need to worry yet right?

“Where with the results of the attempt be displayed?” He didn’t think that there could be a sabotage or take over attempt but he wanted to convince them to give the results in as close to real time as possible to preempt any effort, not to mention the faster he knew what was going on the better he was able to respond to it.

He gestured to the screen. “Here?”

The tenor of the situation had changed, if minutely. It gave Cassidy not a reason to relax, but to survey their surroundings with less alarm. Between the four of them, they were all experienced and could react quickly if things changed. Right now, she was still worried about their shipmates on the Europa and wanted to know if everyone was okay. It was then that she realized she had been holding her breath, as it were, during this whole situation. She was too good at her job to show outward panic, but people she cared about were in danger, possibly more than they were down here and Cass knew it might break her if they lost anyone. She was still reeling from the dramatic attack on her parents’ ship and nearly losing her father. She wasn’t sure she could handle anymore of that. Not right now.
