Sienna stood by nervously as Sllyrasa and Marsh coordinated. She clasped her hands before her with a pressure that left small half circles in her palms. Her eyes went up to the sky for a long moment as she willed herself to remain calm. No need to worry yet right?

Nox, CNS

“Where with the results of the attempt be displayed?” He didn’t think that there could be a sabotage or take over attempt but he wanted to convince them to give the results in as close to real time as possible to preempt any effort, not to mention the faster he knew what was going on the better he was able to respond to it.

He gestured to the screen. “Here?”

Marsh

Sllyrasa pointed to a section of the main monitor. “Spectrographic analysis, video, radar, everything we have the capability to detect will be there.”

As proof to his words, as the craft drew near all of the relevant data and video was pulled up there.

The tenor of the situation had changed, if minutely. It gave Cassidy not a reason to relax, but to survey their surroundings with less alarm. Between the four of them, they were all experienced and could react quickly if things changed. Right now, she was still worried about their shipmates on the Europa and wanted to know if everyone was okay. It was then that she realized she had been holding her breath, as it were, during this whole situation. She was too good at her job to show outward panic, but people she cared about were in danger, possibly more than they were down here and Cass knew it might break her if they lost anyone. She was still reeling from the dramatic attack on her parents’ ship and nearly losing her father. She wasn’t sure she could handle anymore of that. Not right now.

Abrams, COS

In light of seeing more cooperation and progress, Avik didn’t interrupt the interaction. The sense of helplessness settled in her chest before the XO pushed it away. She noticed Abrams tension then moved closer to the CoS.

Uncertain to what to do, Avik’s voice lowered to a softer volume to address her.

“The percentage of survival is rising. I’m confident that the Captain has applied any and all means to prolong the crew’s life.” It was lacking emotion, but her intentions to put the CoS at ease was clear. She wanted to bring a sense of calm.

She glanced at Nox in hopes the counselor might assist her. At this point, they could only wait and observe the proceedings.

OOC: Small bump to keep this on the board and for the GM.
-Janice B.

OOC: Thanks Janice. My computer was down for a bit but it’s back in working order.

The craft got settled into position. All of the windows and running lights remained dark. Sllyrasa looked at the away team briefly before he looked back at the monitor. “Begin the communication.”

The protocol transferred from Marsh’s communicator was played, the lights directed at the specified location. There was no response.

GM Dread

Marsh shook his head. “Disappointing but not surprising,” He gestured at the main windows in the lounge, “That is the back up shelter. There almost has to be someone in there. Try the code in there, what then wait for a response.” Marsh turned to the XO, this was the highest chance of getting a response. Failure here would be bad.

Marsh

Catching the CSO’s glance, Avik understood that their options were dwindling. The mounting evidence leaned into Marsh’s theories that the crew was incapacitated too. If this didn’t receive a response, they had to assume the worst and send someone up there. She worried most about what they might find.

–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr

Sienna bit her lip as she watched, trying to be patient and calm. Marsh was an exceptionally brilliant officer. She knew he would do his best and it seemed like Sllyrasa and his people were doing their best as well. Now they had but to hope that the Captain and everyone else on board was alive and able to handle communications with the craft.

Nox, CNS

Cassidy moved closer to look over the data, not because Steven couldn’t handle it, but more because she wanted to feel more useful than as an anxious hoverer.

Abrams, COS

Before any further instructions could be given, one of the technicians called out. “There’s a change to the ship. Something on the hull is opening.” They hit a couple of console commands that changed the main view to a different camera. On the camera was shown the shuttlebay doors slowly opening with a shuttle facing the doors and using the tractor beam.

“Interesting.” Sllyrasa commented as he watched the doors finish opening. The interesting thing from this new perspective was that a field shimmered over the now open bay doors. This couldn’t be seen on the other parts of the ship.

GM Dread

At the mention of the hull opening, Avik’s attention snapped to their CSO. A brief sense of relief washed over her and her stoic expression returned. At this point, she was glad there was evidence for hope. It was unlikely anyone other than the crew knew how to open the shuttle bay.
