“Its not us as much as how exciting our parent are. Her’s crash landed on a planet that would kill them and mine is an emotionally destroying random anger generator.” He shrugged, “you never know what’s going to make him happy or mad.”

Marsh

“Sounds fun.” She said with some sarcasm. She sipped the last of her drink and waved to the bartender for another. “I won’t go into counselor mode, I assure you, but that does make it hard to grow up… you never know what your actions will do.”

Nox, CNS

“Well that’s half the fun.” Marsh responded almost happily. “The odds of the Baron being happy or mad is 50-50, but its rarely targeted at the guests, and it is almost fun to watch.”

Marsh

Cass snorted. “But do I classify as a guest in his eyes? Or does the serious girlfriend fall into a strange middle area? Luckily for you I if I don’t I’m well versed in conflict management. That and I usually get along with people. Rarely rub them the wrong way. But any tips you have to get on his good side I’ll certainly take now.” That and she knew her and Steven were going to have to have a serious conversation about particular topics and be on the same page with them in case they came up.

“Well that would be the question.” Marsh offered. “I don’t know how he will respond, I’ve never brought a real girlfriend back. He’s been polite but distant with the casual girls knowing that they wouldn’t last the season. But you… that would be new territory. So…’ He shrugged unhelpfully.

Marsh

Lucky for me, Cassidy thought. Nothing like being a guinea pig, and it would’t be the first time either. But this was by far the longest and most serious relationship she’d ever been in and she knew it was the same for Steven. She wanted to put her best foot forward.

“Serious and real does change things. Hopefully he will be happy for you Steven. Or at least if he is mad, it will be easy enough to just leave.” She grinned. “I could imagine throwing a drink in his face and marching out. Very uncharacteristically abrupt and violent of me, but I can imagine it anyway.”

Nox, CNS

“Oh no,” He said dragging out the words. “The Baron wouldn’t like that… making a scene. We do disgruntled behind closed doors.”

Marsh

Cass snorted. “Yeah, I know that all too well,” she said with slightly raised brows. “You grew up with all that. I grew up in a Starfleet family, often on a starship with an ambitious mother whose ultimate goal was always the captain’s chair. We do not make scenes either,” she said with a grin. It didn’t bother her, it just… was. It was why during the crisis, after they had rescued her parents and the crew, Cass had been so surprised by the outward affection and emotion her mother had displayed. It had been nice, just… weird.
