It was a little passed 1100 hrs when Jim stepped off the turbo-lift onto deck 4 and slung his duffel over one shoulder. He wasn’t keen on getting poked and prodded, but being on a starship again had him in a good mood none-the-less. Jim was five feet, ten inches tall, and built like a brick house. He had wavy dirty blonde hair (cut to regulation length) and blue eyes. The feeling of the deck plates vibrating under his feet always felt good. Almost the same feeling he got when he was home, on Earth. Heading toward the main Sickbay, he whistled softly to himself as he walked. His blue eyes kept wandering over the bulkheads and panels. He liked the Discovery class ships, despite the headache of having two cores to maintain. He thought they were put together very well and was quite familiar with the layout due to the fact he’d done a good deal of work on the USS Cassini when she was overhauled at Copernicus Fleet Yards back in the late 2380s.

He was just thinking to himself that he’d like to get a good look at the power conduits on this deck when his steps finally led him to the Sickbay doors. He admitted himself instead of waiting and looked around. It was always better to get these checkups done quickly. That’s why he’d come here first instead of seeing the Officer of the Watch about his quarters. After a moment, he swung his duffel bag off his shoulder and set it on the deck beside him. It was heavy. It contained his personalized tool kit, as well as his personal belongings.

“Doc? You around?” He called.

-Franklin, Engineer

Zeke was busy taking apart one of the business as he tried to fix it. Pieces of the console monitor were scattered about with various diagnostic tools. “Here I am,” he replied.

Jim left his bag where he’d set it down and moved over where Zeke was making his repairs.

“I’ve got my tools if you need a hand there, Doc.” he said, Oklahoma drawl coloring his voice. His blue eyes looked over the scattered components.

“Hope you’ve got the power cut from that monitor, those things carry a nasty zap…”

-Franklin

A few (physical) steps behind Franklin in her quest to have her boarding physical completed, Lia paused after she made her way through the Sickbay doors and glanced around. The sight of two crew members intently focusing on a heap of… parts? caught her eye. That seemed slightly out of place in Sickbay, after all. She folded her arms across her chest as she watched them, intrigued to find out what the two were up to.

Adrie

Jim looked up as the doors slid open, to him Adrie with her arms crossed, looked for all the world like she was about to lecture them on proper Starfleet Operations. He noted the Ensign pip on her collar.

“Hi,” he drawled and looked back at the Doc. “Looks like you’ve got a back log, there Doc. Why not let me handle this Lil guy while you help the lady? Then we can square up once things are taken care of?” Franklin’s southern accent probably made him sound like a bumpkin to Adrie.

-Franklin

“Hold on, you two,” Zeke said. “Of course Imdisabled the power conduit! Do you think that I’m stupid?? I’m just trying to adjust the scanning frequency on this stupid biobed sensor cluster to account for —“
.
Just then, there was a sudden Zap as the live power conduit threw a bolt of star ship electricity at Zeke. Who, in turn, was zapped across the room and into the bulkhead. Where he slid to the deck.
