When Marishka had been made aware of the fact that she might need to learn to like the cold she had began studying the matter extensively and now, she found herself in a pristine forest scene. A small grove of trees opened onto a large meadow with newly fallen snow measuring a little less than quarter of a meter. There were several sets of tracks leading to the middle of the meadow where Marishka stood looking over something similar to the weapons rack she kept in her quarters.

-Marishka

From behind her came the distinctive sound of footsteps crunching softly across the snow.

“Going on a hunt?” David asked, coming up to stand beside her. He was dressed in his futuristic Starfleet uniform - the baby blue velvet like fabric with the braided cord that wove around the entire body like a snake.

-David Michaels

Ensign Tigress came in after LT Michaels. She squealed and jump as her feet tuched the snow. “ lutanit I thought you preferred tropical wether” she asked. She put her armes around herself. Unfortunately even with fur she was not adapted to snow. But she saw that it was snowy environment and was carouse about it.

Marishka turned towards David and smiled broadly, teeth bared. Down the front of her leather armor could be seen streaks of what appeared to be Klingon blood. She had set the holodeck safeties ridiculously low but none of the blood was hers.

She was arare of Tigress being there also and wondered if this might be a chance to get to know her a little bit better or if she’d just have to reach back and pick up another sharp pointy object.

“Yes , actually Tigress, I do prefer warm climates but I can’t let that deter me from being adaptable in different ones. Besides, I’ve heard it said I should learn to like the cold.” Marishka said, the smile on her face changing a bit.

“ makes sence I usuals study more tropical animals but I’m finding arctic animals to be very interesting as well” she said smiling.

Reaching out, she put an arm around David and hugged her friend.

“And how are you doing today? What brings you to this cold part of the Genny?” she asked.

  • Marishka

David returned the hug. “I was gonna use some of my free time to run one of my holodeck programs but then I saw you were here and decided to bring you some company.”

“ am I the only one that smells Klingons” Tigress asked as she sniffed the air and looked around. Marishka at the moment was not a threat at the moment nether Ben or Julian was here so she had no reason to feel ether anxious in the case of Julian or taritorial in the case of Ben.
Ensign Tigress

“Well your sense of smell is definitely much stronger than mine,” David said to Tigress with a wink in her direction.

Marishka threw her head back and laughed. As she stepped away from David she saw the holodeck blood had gotten on his lovely uniform.

“Yes, I think you do. I had the setting adjusted for as much realism as I could get.” Marishka explained.

“Computer, remove the blood and all the tracks in the snow.”

In a flash the scene became pristine again and Marishka studied it intently.

“Harsh but beautiful.” she mused.

“So you’re hunting Klingons then?” David asked. He was fairly average in a combat situation and could use the opportunity to blow off some steam.

-David Michaels, CSO

“Yes it is the animal that live in places like this are even more so” Tigress said. She looked around the hollow deck and was quietly lost in her thoughts. Likely trying to decide witch animals were most likely to inhabit this area.
Ensign Tigress

It was an alpine region that Tigress was looking at, mostly inhabited by small animals like rabbits and foxes.

  • Marishka

Tigress’ ear twitched and a mischievous grin crossed her face. She picked up several hand fulls of snow and throw them at David and Marishka. “ that was dumb” she said trying to shack the snow out of her hands/paws.
Ensign Tigress

Marishka smiled and stooped down to pick up some snow herself even though it was dreadfully cold on her bare hands.

“Computer, remove the weapons rack and the blood from the snow. All the tracks too while you’re at it.”

Standing, she casually hurled the snowball she’d made so that it whizzed by Tigress’ left ear.

“Oh well, let’s be dumb together. Perhaps we should play bury the CSO.” she said with a grin.

  • Marishka

Tigress giggled” let get him” she said picking up another hand full of snow and throwing it at her department head. She was not at all bothered by the snow flying past her ear.
Ensign Tigress

David shrieked as the snow hit him square in the chest. His lips curled up into a grin. “Oh you’re asking for it.” With a giant sweep of both hands, he tossed the snow in the direction of the two woman, giggling.

-David Michaels, CSO

Tigress esaly dogged the flying snow and sent anot snowball at David. “ you will have to catch me first LT” she said tonoting him. She smiled he had never had this much fun with anyone except Ben and for once she was not lost in her feald of study.
