Thomas let out an anticipatory breath as he walked into one of the Holosuites on Deck 10. Not many used them, preferring the larger holodecks, but for his (rather solitary) needs, they were more than sufficient.Before him was a training facility of his own design: a treadmill, a rowing machine and a stair-stepper, all looking out large floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of San Francisco Bay, then free weights, a bench press, a lat-pull and a squat rack on the back wall, and on the wall opposite the windows, a firing range with a variety of targets and weapons.

A sigh. =/\=No sir, I was just about to start a workout. Do you need me somewhere?=/\= Thomas asked.

There was a slight hesitation =^=Well no not exactly, I just wanted to throw some ideas of you, would you mind a partner for your workout? I haven’t had the chance to get any exercise in today”=^=

Thomas hesitated as well for a moment. He was both taller and broader than the XO, but the older man was intimidating in his own way.
=/\=Feel free. I’m in Holosuite Two on Deck 10.=/\=

=^=Wonderful, I’ll be there in a few minutes=^=. A few minutes later the doors to the holosuite opened and revealed the first officer, he was still in his duty uniform. “Very nice Commander” The Icelander said as he examined the room with interest “I hope I’m not intruding, I think this makes for a good opportunity to see if you can keep up” He turned to face the Security Chief with a wide grin “I had planned to ask you to join me for exercises and training earlier but never gave myself the opportunity”.
