Magnus nodded “Alright, let’s get going, Lieutenant” He said, clicking the comm switch =^=Launch Control, we’re taking off. Try not to miss us too much.=^= he said with no small amount of humor in his voice.

They departed and reached their destination without incident.

GM

“Commander we’ve arrived at our destination.”

Lt. Park

Siobhan was already at one of the smaller consoles near the back of the ship and was trying to track the trail the creature had taken. If she found its origin, it would be the best place to start.

OOC: I am using information that I had posted in https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf6/genesis/posts/102494/
and https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf6/genesis/posts/103405/

IC: From the simulations that had been calculated by the computer on board the Genesis, the creature originally emerged from the planetoid and was almost immediately siphoning energy from the pulsar. That position was where the Genesis first detected the creature.

“Alright” The first officer turned around in his chair, he had just gotten himself a cup of coffee to have with the mission “Let’s start a basic scanning rundown. Lieutenant Siobahn, suggestions?” He asked the scientist.

XO

Siobhan sighed. “Well, we know it came from the moon, or whatever the egg was called. I think the best thing is to scan outwards from here and see if we can find a similar reading. Make sure, first and foremost, that this isn’t the middle of some breeding ground or hatchery of some kind. If the scans are secluded to this area, we can see what makes this section of space so perfect for it.” She moved towards the front of the ship as she spoke. “So, I suggest we each take a console and reach out in a different direction and see what the readings find, first. Unless someone has another suggestion.” She wasn’t being condescending, she was trying to be sure she didn’t become some dictator on the trip where only her ideas were listened to.

Scans showed that there were no more hidden life forms in the system’s bodies. However, sensors showed that there were tetryon particles present where the creature was first located. These were not in high quantities but significant as there was nothing around to produce these subspace subatomic particles.

Ben was getting starting to get anxious just waiting.

Lt. Park

Magnus turned in his chair, partly to cover his widening grin, and started the scan “Park’s here to fly the ship and I’m just here to look pretty” He said as he examined the scan results “Hmm, does this imply that the creature created these particles?” He asked.

XO

“Pity,” Siobhan laughed. “I thought I was the pretty one. Guess that makes me the smart one. Not sure which of us will suffer more for that.” She moved to tap on the console a bit more. “It seems that the particles are possibly a residual affect of its ‘birth’. Is there a way to get readings from this area prior to the loss of the moon? Then we can, perhaps, figure out if the particles were the cause or the affect of the creature coming into being.”

She had the feeling it was the affect. Her hands danced over the keyboard with practiced ease. An absent humming under her breath accompanying the silent motions in a haunting, almost lullaby, lilt.
