“Honey I’m home,” Calvin called as he entered the Captain’s quarters. Quite a step up from even the first officer’s quarters that were generous. The Captain’s space included the yacht which was… a yacht and could carry several officers comfortably. He looked about. He hadn’t spent too much moving in time, but after setting up his bar, cigar humidor and colonial marine tee shirt collection, he didn’t have that much stuff that he cared about anyways.

Marius

Sage rounded the corner from the bedroom, one arm and shoulder already out of her uniform. “Hey, Babe. I just got home, myself.” She walked over and grazed his lips with a kiss, ready to turn on her heel and re-enter their room to finish disrobing. “How was your day?”

—Sage

“We are passing a stellar nursery… scanning as we go, nothing too spectacular if you ask me, but the egg head types seem to like it. You’ll see it on your next bridge shift.” That made a thought pop in his mind. “I’ll have to talk to the XO and be sure that he doesn’t put on non-consecutive shifts. If that happens we’ll never see each other and you might want to request another doctor to take a couple of your shifts.”

He followed her into the ‘bed room’ to watch her undress. “Enjoy the little things… or in your case the medium things.”

Marius

She laughed while toeing off her boots. One thing about Cal—he was always appreciative and complimentary with her. “You are a scoundrel, Sir.”

Insulted Calvin chimed in, “I’m an officer, and therefore, by proclamation, a gentleman. Scoundrel is by definition is mutually exclusive.” He continued watching for a moment.... “Oh, my…”

The uniform hit the floor, leaving her in a single garment. The sky blue lace of the thong looked bright against her skin. Sage bent to grasp the uniform and boots to put them away and felt Calvin’s eyes on her. She straightened, hands full and turned towards him. “See anything you like?”

—Sage

“When I ask you to wear that stuff you always tell me the better it looks the more uncomfortable it is.” Calvin stared off for a moment thinking… “What motivated you to go ‘uncomfortable’ today.”

Marius

One chestnut eyebrow rose in question. “Babe, I wear things like this all the time. Maybe you’re getting me confused with your girlfriend?” She said it jokingly, but why would he say something like that? Confused, Sage headed to the reclamation unit and dropped her dirty uniform into it. She was going to ask Calvin if he wanted to take a shower with her before he made the comment about her undies.

“Must be…” Calvin mock confessed. He was much like the Marine motto, semper fidelis, always faithful. “Or perhaps it has been so long since I’ve been up close and personal. That I’ve forgotten. We have been busy since the promotions.”

She walked to the closet and dropped her boots there, then continued on into the bathroom.

—Sage

Marius turned and walked to his bar. Calling back over his shoulder, “I’m making myself a drink. Do you want a Vodka or something else?” The one thing he did remember was a fondness for Vodka, which Calvin found didn’t have enough flavor to drink straight.

Marius

Sometimes, he had a strange sense of humor, Sage thought as she dropped her panties and stepped into the shower. “Yes. Squeeze a lime into it, would you?” By the time he made the drinks and carried them into the bathroom, Sage was glistening from the water pouring down her body. As she smoothed her hands back over wet hair, she looked through the transparent shower door. “If you’re going to bring that over here, you should probably take your clothes off. We wouldn’t want to get your uniform wet, now would we?”

—Sage

Calvin walked into the bathroom with wide eyes holding a drink in each hand. He took a sip of his whiskey as he watched her. He didn’t think she understood how much he enjoyed watching her. It wasn’t a sexual or lustful exercise, well mostly not, he truly found her beautiful in a profound way. Each of her curves was a harp mid note. Her lips, the model for a Michelangelo sculpture. The water running down her hair over her back and buttocks a winding woodland stream at dusk.

He was torn between what he loved to touch and what he loved to watch and frequently it was mutually exclusive. He put down both drinks on the sink.... taking his time with his uniform to extend each moment he could watch her.

OOC: What a beautiful way for a husband to think about his wife!!!

Sage smiled with satisfaction when Cal began to undress. “C’mon, Babe, I’ve seen you strip naked in about three seconds.” She tried to make her voice casual, but the thought of all that muscled, chocolaty goodness pressed up against her wet, vanilla skin, made her a little weak in the knees. He was right—it had been a while.

Well that just made him slow down more, “Anticipation… anticipation… it’s making me wait.” Marius sung way.. way.. off key, but there was a smile. “I am a visual animal, the longer I can look the better I like it.”

“Hey, I need to talk to you about something…marriage.”

“We are married… what, you want to do it again?” Marius questioned not really knowing where this was going. They had been fighting, as usual, but it wasn’t that bad. They certainly had been much, much further in crisis.

She reached behind her head and lifted the heavy, wet hair so the water could pound her bare back. “Don’t worry, its not OUR marriage…I had a talk with T’Lora and Ben and they would like you to perform the ceremony. As quickly as they got together, I can’t imagine they’ll want to wait very long.”

—Sage

“Another marriage, I did one only a week ago.” He chuckled happily as he soaped his hands to slick perfection and started rubbing his wife’s back… at first. “Captain for 8 years, I don’t think Julien got to do one wedding. I’m Captain for two months and I have two already. By time my terms over, the whole crew will be married to each other.” He stared up for a moment… “I think they will have to start having thr-uples, quad-uples, at this rate.”

“I think we are setting the role model for a work relationship.” Somehow the idea was making him a little amorous… or perhaps it was the shower. His chest replacing his hands on her back. Given the size differential Calvin had to hunch down a little to make a smooth fit.

Marius

Sage leaned back into him and drew his arms around her. “Mmmm, I’ve missed this. Do you think if our lives were different, say…you were a school teacher and I was a secretary, that we’d still be so fiery together?” They were both outspoken and held strong opinions, so arguments were common. It was only when the subject matter was personal that it caused a problem. However, the intensity of emotions didn’t just fall into the negative category. It also affected positive ones, like love, and added fire to their sex lives.

—Sage

Marius tilted his head, although she couldn’t see him, perhaps she felt the motion. “I think some would have dissipated because most of our issues are situations that exacerbate our more modest philosophical issues.” He continued to explore with his hands. “We wouldn’t be arguing about the safety of children on a planet, you wouldn’t have gone missing for a year if you weren’t in STF. If we were in two different fields our relative advancement wouldn’t be an issue.” He shrugged. “On the other hand we wouldn’t have met. So we take the good with the awkward.”

Marius

She was quiet for a moment, enjoying his attentions. “I don’t think I could live like that and be happy. Here on the ship, anything can happen and that’s part of the appeal.” His chest and stomach were soapy, as was her back, so when she twisted in his arms to face him, it was a slippery move that felt wonderful. Looking up at him,, Sage smiled. “Aside from the marriage you’ve been asked to perform…I’ve been doing something on my own that I think we should talk about. There’s no rush, but I can’t go any further with my research without you.”

—Sage

“What are you starting that you need a Captain to clear?” Marius had a motto, ‘Don’t start a car unless you plan on driving it.’ same was true with starting a plan. Marius paused, “Unless this is a you need your husband to help, in which case I’m all aboard.” There was pretty much nothing he wouldn’t do for his wife, although on occasion they had a differing of opinion on what to do, but once the decision was made he was all aboard.
