V’Lath sat in the chair by the fireplace, fingers steepled together in front of his face. He had received the wedding invitation form Ben and T’Lora and had been trying to decide on a suitable gift for the couple. He felt that it needed to be something very special as he felt a very close bond to T’Lora and wished them a long and happy life together. He realized that T’Lora most likely would outlive Ben by many years, Vulcans lived as long as 200-250 Terran years, while humans lived 130-150 years. He wished there was a way to give them more years together. He took a sip of coffee as he pondered this enigma. He picked up the small replica of the Kir’Shara and ran his fingers over the edges of the small obelisk when suddenly it came to him, If the couple would agree, he could impart to Ben a small portion of his own Katra or being. It would allow Ben to experience resistance to disease and overall better health giving a slightly longer lifespan of maybe 20-30 years. Yes, that would be his gift if accepted.
