T’Lora inclined her head slightly, leaving the two in silence for a few moments. “Do you plan to attend the holiday gathering anyway?”
-T’Lora

“I might.” Tom said with a shrug, “Though whether I go or not, no one will remember that I was there.”

  • Tom, IntSec

“I’ll look for you. You can write “Tom was here” on my arm.” She smirked at him teasingly. “Should I bring a sharpie?”
-T’Lora

“Through long years of being an infiltration operative I’ve developed a dislike for leaving evidence of my presence where it’s not necessary.” Tom said with a smile, “Maybe something a little less indelible.”

  • Tom, IntSec

“It’ll wash off with soap and water.” T’Lora waved her hand dismissively. “Maybe I’ll claim it’s necessary.”
-T’Lora

“I am tempted to just leave this as a surprise to observe your reactions to finding strange writing on your body.” Tom said with a mischievous smile, “Any particular color you’d be fond of?”

  • Tom, IntSec

“I’ve always appreciated green.” T’Lora smiled back, enjoying the banter.
-T’Lora

Tom turned and opened a drawer in the wall that, when it was closed, didn’t appear to be there. He rummaged around and a moment later produced markers in six shades of green and three tip sizes, fine, broad, and chisel.

“Any of these strike your fancy?” Tom asked T’Lora.

  • Tom, IntSec

T’Lora raised an eyebrow incredulously. “Do you have a separate drawer for each color?” She looked over the markers, selecting a lime green chisel-tip marker. “Appropriately garish I believe.” Her family would hate it, but her father would adore the blinding color.
-T’Lora

Tom laughed.

“No, I just have one drawer full of markers sorted by color scale. Next is to decide where. I want it intimate enough that you will come seek me out but not so intimate that you would be calling security on me for inappropriate touching or some such.”

  • Tom, IntSec

T’Lora gestured to herself. “People don’t usually touch touch-telepaths.” She had a laundry list of people who didn’t trust her not to read their minds. “Arms are your best bet.” Noticeable enough, especially with the bright green she had chosen.
-T’Lora

“I’m not too worried about. I’m a null. No presence to telepathy, empathy, etcetera.” Tom said approaching T’Lora.

In elegant Vulcan script Tom Wrote “S’Thom has been present.” on the underside of her forearm where it might not be noticed immediately. True to his word, T’Lora got nothing from him on a telepathic level, like Tom didn’t exist to her psychic abilities.

  • Tom, IntSec

“Fascinating.” She closed her eyes in an attempt to focus, but found nothing. “You would terrify the council. No one would be able to tell if you actually existed.” She inspected his writing and grinned. “Your calligraphy is beautiful, S’Thom.” It wasn’t quite as smooth as it would have been on paper, or as smooth as she would have written it, but the writing could easily pass for that of the average Vulcan.
-T’Lora

Tom bowed, “Thank you. I’ve had to pass myself off as a Vulcan on a few occasions. And being anull has it’s disadvantages too. I can’t be read, but I can’t be sent to either.”

Tom put the marker away.

“I don’t see any reason to suspect you to be a potential security risk so, as far as I’m concerned, our interview is complete. Anything you want to ask or talk about keeping in mind that three minutes after you step out my door you’ll forget everything about this encounter? That is until you receive the recording, scrubbed of any sensitive information, in an hour or two.”

  • Tom, IntSec

T’Lora shook her head. She didn’t mind having to rewatch their conversation, and she had enjoyed spending time hiding out in the IntSec office. “Just know that this means I shall likely continue to stop by.” She stood up gracefully and offered him a slight bow. “It was my pleasure.”
-T’Lora

Tom smirked mischievously, “Perhaps.” was all he replied.
