Magnus arrived in Shuttlebay 2 with a small diplomatic security Escort. He assigned security teams out of sight but close enough that they could be called to action within a few minutes. He took a few steps into the room then waited with hands clasped behind his back, a Small PaDD in his hand. He hadn’t had time for a cultural analysis so he didn’t know the proper greeting but he had his experience with the diplomatic corps. He waited patiently for the arrival of their esteemed guests. “Remember to scan the ship thoroughly upon entry” He called to the FOC “Also scan the diplomat and his escort when they leave but do so quietly. Announce codeword Charlie for projectile weapon. Codeword ‘Francis’ for bladed weapons and codeword ‘Vatican’ for if we need to take cover and call for backup” He told the operations command.XO
The scans showed not suspicious items. The diplomat and his escort emerged from the shuttle. Their heads moved up to look at the shuttle bay itself and the equipment present in it.
“I am Chichak, representative of Verranus, ruler of Lesscoo,” the diplomat, who was dressed a little more elaborately than his escort. Then turning to his escort, he continued, “… and this is Lt. Lepto, my charge d’affairs.”

Magnus inclined his head in a respectful nod “Welcome onboard the Federation Starship USS Genesis, I am Lieutenant Commander Magnús Pétursson, First officer” He put out his hand with the PaDD “This computer contains some general information about the United Federation of Planets as well as cultural information about my species, Humans” He smiled politely as he extended the handheld device, he aimed it towards the Ambassador but made sure that it was close enough that his escort could take it “I will be your escort today for your meeting with Captain Marius”
