As the ensign went back to work in sickbay and then realized that things were going very slowly as the days went by. She then went to sickbay started to put things away and doesn’t stop. She just thought it was best for her to work on things as she got there. After the fact that, she just got there from her sup-department that she works in, she knows that it’s best that she works in sickbay.

“Hello Doctor,” Marius said as he entered the sickbay. He took a measured glance about. He couldn’t help but assess the condition of the room and what the personal were doing. He was the Captain after all he had to be certain things were in order.

She looks up and stops what she’s doing. “Oh. Hello captain. How can I help you sir.” She asked the captain.

He shook his head in a negative fashion, “I just came to visit. Well when the Captain does it, it’s called an inspection. Makes it all official sounding and I can count it against my duty hours which is nice.”

He never had long conversations with Lyndzie, she and her brother had a very laconic conversation style. He never really knew what they were thinking. “How’s it been going?”

Marius.

“I am doing well sir. How about you sir.” She responded back to his question and then asked him how he’s doing. Although she was a different than her brother. She was just a little surprised. The last time she talked to the captain was when she first came on board. Although this time was something unusual for her. She never has seen the captain down in sickbay at all. This was the first time for her.

Marius paused, people frequently asked him about himself but few seem to mean it beyond a pleasantry. “It long hours doctor, I’m sure you understand. Its probably not as bad as it used to be, a lot of emptiness in space, a competent crew, good officers. There was down time. I suspect in the old days, Captain were on duty all the time as opposed to the 8 hour shifts and crisis calls I deal with now.”

“Probably the same for doctors… huh?”

“Your station looks neat, what were you working on.”

Marius

“Well sir. I was just sterlizing instruments and putting them away sir.” As she smiled at the captain. “Although I’ve been going back and forth between here and the science labs.” She said.
