Tom sat at his desk. The package was neatly wrapped next to the door. The chair the XO had expressed interest in was finished.=^=Commander Pétursson. Tom Jarvis. Please come to my quarters.=^=

=^=On my way=^= The Commanders voice came almost immediately. He had just been sitting in his quarters when he received the call. He quickly went to a small lockbox he kept under his bed and removed the small notebook and placed it in his pocket.
A few minutes later he was outside the IntSec office and pressed the chime.

As his finger reached for the chime the door shooshed open.
“Come in Commander.” Tom said from next to the replicator with a sandwich in his hand, “I was just getting myself something to eat. Would you like something?”
If Magnus looks at the panels floating over Tom’s desk, he’d see one with a video feed of the corridor in front of Tom’s door.
