Ben entered his quarters and looked around. His belongings were stacked neatly in the middle of the room. There was a small living area with a table/desk attached to the wall, with a chair shoved up under it. a small sofa was built into the adjoining wall, and there were numerous drawers and shelves all along another wall with a door that led into the bedroom/bath area, which had more shelves and drawers along with a closet. “This is much nicer than anything I had at the Academy” he thought. “But I probably won”t be spending much time here.” He returned to the living area and began unpacking and stowing his stuff. Sometime later he stood up from placing clothing in a lower drawer and surveyed the area. There was a display of his martial arts awards, and he had placed most of his weaponry on the shelves. He had a row of books, mainly on various martial arts, some very old that his sensei had given him when he graduated from the academy. His Bogu armor was on a rack in one corner, and a full set of Samarai armor was across from it, strictly ornamental. There were various small carvings and statues that he had collected or that his parents had given him over the years, These covered most of living room shelves. He hung his uniforms and other clothing in the closet, and realized he was done. There was still a lot of empty shelves and drawers, but he hoped he would fill these with items and momentos gathered from around the galaxy. Walking over to the replicator, he ordered “Coffee, hot, black”. Taking the steaming mug, he sat down at the desk, turned the computer view screen around and called a layout of the ship and began looking it over as he sipped from the mug.
JSO - Just wanted to get settled and ready for whatever. Glad to be aboard, and looking forward to the SIM.
