Tinga had decided she wanted everything official done with her check in before seeing her quarters. Walking into sickbay she tried to remember who the CMO was.

  • Tinga

A female doctor saw the Andorian enter and headed towards her ‘’Can I help you Lt?’‘ marthese asked in a polite manner.
Marthese Dr.

“My name is Lieutenant Tinga. I’m here for my boarding check in.” she said offering a hand.

The doctor took the offered hand ‘’I’m doctor Marthese ‘’ she replied back,at that moment Cross was coming out of her office and made her way towards them .

Tinga’s skin was a bit more pale than most Andorians people may have been used to seeing. Her blue eyes always seem clear and alert, and she had a wiry build. Her silver hair had flecks of lavender and came to about her shoulders. Her antennae were a bit longer than normal also.

  • Tinga, Comms.

Th ensign introduced them ‘’Lt Tinga this is the CMO doctor Cross ‘’ Cross smiled and extended a hand ‘’I would assume you’re here for your medical, would you please make yourself comfortable’‘ Cross said in a neutral tone while pointing to a vacant biobed.

‘’My isin’t she beautiful ‘’the other doctor whispered at which point the CMO just nodded ‘’Lt Tinga ,from the color of your skin its seems you have Aenar ancestry …any problems with your eyesight ‘’ Cross asked attaching the diagnostic wand to the medical tricoder .

Cross Dr.

Tinga shook hands quickly and made her way to the bio bed. She was pleasantly surprised that Cross was so quick to ask about her heritage.

“No, absolutely none. It’s kind of a surprise to me too.” she said.

  • Tinga, Comms

Cross nodded her locks which framed her face bobbling up and down ‘’Glad to hear that Tinga ‘’ she replied and turned to the other doctor ‘’Ensign what do you know about the Lt’s species she asked, wanting to evaluate the new doctor’s knowledge.

‘’Andorians are humanoid extraterrestrials have blue blood, blue skin, white hair, and antennae protruding from the head, and capable of movement, used for gesturing and balancing. If cut off, an antenna will grow back after nine months, though the time can be reduced by half with electrical stimulation and brisk cranial massage.’‘

‘’There are at least two Andorian subspecies, those with blue skin, the majority of the population and the more reclusive, blue-white-skinned Aenar, . The Aenar are blind, but exhibit telepathic and telemetric abilities. Aenar appear to use their antennae as telepathic receptors’‘ Marthese concluded.

The CMO had already began scanning ‘’Mmm....how do you reckon the doctor did ‘’ she asked the Andorian.

OOC: What does the scan pick up if anything? .

Cross Dr.

Tinga nodded and smiled at the woman’s knowledge.

“The two species can successfully interbreed which means one can get many genetic variants. I was lucky not to have any problems with my sight although Andorian physicians have warned me that this may affect me in later decades.” she explained.

‘’Indeed’‘ marthese replied ‘’If you notice any changes see a doctor immediately ,though keep in mind that medicine is constantly advancing ‘’.

The scans picked up that Tinga had a number of tele-receptors, but not as many as she might have if she were full blooded Aenar. It would also show that she had several allergies specifically pineapple, most shell fish, and coffee.

  • Tinga, Comms

Cross put down the tricoder ‘’Lt, I guess you are aware of the allergies ? If so are you taking any medication or simply omit the culprits from your diet?’‘ the doctor asked ‘’One last question ,how serious and/ or life threatening are the allergies?’‘ .

Cross Dr.

Tinga giggled a bit at that.

“Yes, I am aware of the allergies. Shellfish gives me horrible indigestion so if I really want to indulge, I know there’s something I can take for it. Pineapple make my antennae tingle and gives me terrible hives, my throat nearly closed up once so, even thought there’s something I could probably take for that, it’s off my menu. Now coffee is a different story. I do indulge every once in a while at bed time because it puts me out like a light, no sedative required, just something for a slight headache in the morning.” she explained with a grin.
