“Cadet Jameson!” said Glen. “We noticed your keen interest in photography. Does the phrase, ‘To the real man who puts the fire in my bed,’ mean anything to you?”

As the Cadets filed out Jameson turned at his speaking looking pale at the words, “..I um....yes sir.” He said.

The big Zulu Security Chief didn’t say a word. He simply kicked a chair out from under one of the center tables so that it spun towards the Cadet and pointed for him to sit. The look on his face was one that said not doing so could possibly result in the Cadet being in an even worse situation than he was in at that particular moment.

Making an audible gulp the before sitting down.

And Cross from where she stood kept silent simply looking on as if all this was a stage rehearsal, wondering what skeletons were about to fall from the closet.

“As a general rule, first Impressions are everything,” Glen mused as he turned and walked towards the chair.

“When I walk into a barrack room,” said Glen, “I get an immediate first impression. Do you know what the impression I got in here might be, Cadet Jameson?”

”..Uh that we were messy?” He said nervously.

“Actually… No,” replied Glen. “Cleanliness is the least of my concerns. If I were to run a white gloved hand over the top of this locker, then I’m sure it would still be brilliant white… inside your locker is another world though. You have a PADD just thrown in there. A PADD containing some highly incriminating information that could possibly break families and end careers. No, my impressions are of your total lack of security, but also a complete lack of camaraderie… you know, that kind of brotherhood that I remember from my own Academy days? I’m wondering why that might be so? Keeping secrets and hiding behind lies… they both eat away at what is good in your soul like a tumour. So… my Security Chief will now ask you some questions and I need you to be completely open and honest in your replies. Is that clear?”

Nkosenye simply stared at the young Cadet while he waited for him to acknowledge what Glenn said.

”..Ah yes sir…” he said.

Glen wished he hadn’t agreed to this inspection, or drawn Nkosenye, Cross or Kord into it. They weren’t going to be thanked, however this turned out.

Finally the female doctor moved towards the men without as much as a glance and sat on the bench ‘’Cadet I’m doctor Cross ‘’ she paused for a few seconds ‘’Don’t be bothered with these trio, they are far from perfect and faithful as most men are…are you following me?’‘ she asked ‘’Stand up for yourself, show them what you’re made of, don’t let them intimidate you. If you had an affair with the Admiral’s wife just tell them, it’s hardly their business to question you!’‘ Cross declared as she twirled one of her many locks around her finger.

Cross was implementing the “good cop, bad cop” strategy that they had all agreed upon earlier. Only Glen wasn’t so sure that it was going to work anymore as this cadet already seemed very distraught and worried, even before the questioning had began. It wasn’t necessary to “break” him.

Glen looked at the time. I thought this would take a hour at tops. It had already taken more than that and they hadn’t got anywhere. The cadet wasn’t saying anything and all they had was a signed photo. If it were a real signed photograph from the Admiral’s wife, and she had actually carnal knowledge of this cadet, well then she could lose her job, and the Admiral would be stained with being a cuckold and the Academy with lack of discipline. If it is a fake then the question becomes why? Did the cadet think it proved his sexual prowess? Did someone else send it to him to cause trouble for the Admiral? What motive did anyone have for that? Maybe they could park this here and go back to the Admiral with what they already had? Or did they have a duty now to take this to Starfleet Academy Police Force given that the Admiral himself might be implicated? Why wasn’t the cadet speaking up?

“By Fingale, this is going no where fast!” exclaimed Glen.

Glen called over to Kord, who was still watching the doorway to prevent anyone unexpectedly discovering them, “Kord? Any ideas?”

Glen turned back to the cadet. “My XO, over at the doorway, is a Cheron native. He has superior mental powers and an ability to produce an electrical charge that he can use as a weapon. When he touches the skin with his hands it can be quite soothing, or alternatively it can be quite painful!”

  • Glen, CO

Kord stepped into the room and let the door close behind him. As he did so, he held up his hands a short distance apart and a crackling sound of electricity accompanied the bright flashes of micro-lightning between his hands. At the same moment, the lights in the room flickered, dimmed significantly, and flared brilliantly before settling back to normal illumination. All in all it was a dramatic display.

  • Kord, XO

Cross nodded in agreement ‘’Once he gave me a quick kiss on my lips and it was em,er well how shall I describe it quite electrifying, the trill mind blowing’‘ she said in all seriousness ‘’And if you think cause I’m a doctor I shall help em, lets just say I have forgotten how to do CPR’‘ she finished off with a devilish grin.

    Cross Dr.

Nkosenye studied the Cadet while the others spoke, although he did cock an eyebrow at Cross with the statement about the kiss. Looking at the Cadet, he rumbled softly “Or… you can just tell us what is going on, Cadet. Now is the time for full disclosure. The alternative could be quite… problematic.”

    Nkosenye, CoS

”..I got nothing to much else to say ma’am, I think the evidence um....mostly speaks for ya know itself? No reason to run from whats the truth? I mean she said she loves me..” The cadet replied.
