I perfectly understand that Real Life stuff is a bind. Work commitments, job loss, officialdom, holidays, family crises, childcare, illness, bereavements… I don’t need to know the details, I understand the problems. I’d much rather people stay and post less frequently than if they were to leave us. I’m just a little concerned at the moment with the length of some of the absences, and with Marthese leaving us too. The Merrimack has always had a small crew, and therefore looked at by the hierarchy as a little shaky, but what we are is consistent and permanent.

The problem with very long absences is that they break up the flow of the story. Everyone is waiting on everyone else. The gaps become longer and longer. Then people get bored and leave. I don’t wish to put any pressure on people either but could everyone please make a personal commitment just to post more frequently and stop a slide that might become irreversible?

Dave

I got a new job and resorting bills and getting necessities and, on top of that, dealing with a depression/anxiety episode, made things a bit hectic. Sorry.

Yes sir… Working on my slide as we speak/type

As it is the Summer I will be posting more infrequently. I’m away from home quite a bit but never for more than 7 days in a row. I’ll catch up when I return. I always read every post, by the way. There are still unanswered replies required in the Bridge thread that are holding back progress in this Sim.

I’m hardly at home at the moment but I have still managed to keep within limits. Please, please, can we not have so many AWOLs and Lates. The posting limits are very generous. Or else post a LOA. Please read all threads and posts as there may be replies required where you haven’t posted recently.
