Jasper finished his clean up and was sitting on the couch in the living area of his quarters as he stood and left for the main lounge on the ship to try and relax and have some dinner. As the doors parted and he entered the room it was rather quiet at the moment as he moved to a corner booth and took a seat and pulled out a few padds to go over during his dinner and dessert. As the waitress came over to him. “What ya have sir?” the waitress asked him. “I want a double-decker cheeseburger and fries and a hot fudge sundae and a chocolate shake with hot fudge too. And a Coke Classic The Classic.” Jasper said with a small fleeing smile. As the waitress took the order and left to get the meal prepared.The tall form of the Security Chief came through the door. Nkosenye stood looking around for a place to sit. Before he could decide, shift change came through and bodies began sliding past him and taking tables and chairs. Shaking his head, he moved towards Jasper’s table and said in a low rumble “I suppose the adage ‘He who hesitates is lost’ is appropriate here. Would you mind if I joined you, Ensign?”

“Not at all, sir! Please join me?” as he welcomed the officer to his lonely table. “we all get that odd moment of hesitation and not sure where to go from there.” Jasper smiled politely to the officer. Jasper waved the waitress down so that the new officer at his table can get what he wished. As the waitress smiled. “What can I get for ya Hun.” She said with a genuine smile on her pleasant face.

“Large Shrimp salad. Pickled vegetables. Water. Thank you.” Nkosenye said and then turned his attention to Ericson. Noting the PaDDs before the Junior Engineer, the Zulu Security Chief said “I trust I am not interrupting you, Ensign?”

“not at all there just a few technical journals to keep informed and up to date on engineering protocols and new procedures along with new ideas and experimental data.” Jasper said calmly.

There was a message from Tinga on the Bridge. =^=I need a replacement at the comms station. Ensign Erickson and NE Smith please report to the shuttle bay.=^=

Jasper opened his communicator and responded to the page. =^= I am on my way =^= Jasper commented quickly to the page as he closed the communicator and stood gathered his things quickly. “Enjoy your meal chief. maybe we can try again next time to have a meal.” Jasper sighed as he left the area and headed to the lift. I arrived at no time at all as he entered the lift and grabbed the control arm. “Shuttlebay!” as the lift took off to its new home. A minute later the lift came to a stop as he exited the lift outside the far side of engineering. “Deja vu!” He said to himself as he moved to the door to the shuttle bay as he placed his odd belongings in a locker. Then turned to face the officer. “Reporting as ordered. Sir!”Jasper said calmly to the officer.
