”…if I’m going to be stuck isolated down here in Sickbay for any length of time, then I’ll need a direct feed to the Bridge, and to the Cargo Bay where they are constructing to Daniel’s scale drawings. I’ll require high quality video and audio, and a screen-sharing facility, with a Duotronic processor interface to the ship’s computer access and retrieval network. Could someone arrange that please?”

”..Of course sir, I’ll have NE Billbin come up to hook you up shortly..” The previous NE said. With that the previous NE took his leave and took the food cart with him.

While he waited to get hooked up, Glen laid back again and mused on Daniel, and how he had so quickly organised the crew while Glen had been unconscious. Glen wondered, are we right to trust him so willingly? I feel some naturally affinity to him. That might be the shared genes? Is that trust in the best interests of the Merrimack? However, Daniel had clearly convinced the rest of his senior officers with factual persuasive arguments, and they wouldn’t have been easy to reassure.

A bit later one of the nurses came over and began to scan Glen. Thankfully his hearing had mostly returned to normal by this point due to another temporal disruption. But now his left leg was feeling all achy and ‘old’. “..Don’t worry Captain seems Dr Grunch is working on something to help you, I just need to get some up to date scans for his calibrations.” She said.

“More scans?” Glen asked, “Are you sure he is working on a treatment? You know how much he loves his diagnostic tests, and these tests won’t cure my temporal disruption, They could cause more harm than good! I do hope more tests aren’t just a cover for his being completely without a clue?”

Hal entered the sickbay bearing some flowers in a vase. “Captain,” he said, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
