“Technology is our friend, Chief.” Mooney grinned. “One has to admit that the Officers look spiffy till the real work begins, tho.” Remembering the temperature.”By the way, any indication whether they actually live in that sauna or is their life support on the blink as well?”

”..Hard to say on scans, power is fluctuating on the ship likely due to some kind of drive failure I think. But if I had to guess they like that kind of temperature.” Steve said.

“Anything else you can tell me about their biology? Reptiles are a bit different from mammalian humanoids.” After a moment, “and an idea of compartment size would be nice, a warning when to duck is always good.”

Captain Glen was the next to arrive at the Transporter Room and caught Mooney in mid-sentence. “Are you expecting an unusual biology or environment? ” Glen asked. “Bridge sensors haven’t picked that up. It kinds of makes things a little different if so! Still better we know before we leave, eh?”

“I don’t know what to expect, sir. I am quite a bit removed from the bridge and have to get my information where I can.” The Master Chief’s lopsided grin clearly showing he felt no slight. “We Chiefs are used to being treated like a mushrooms.” Humor before a drop always helped him with the jitters.

Inola stepped into the Transporter room quietly. “I still don’t know what they need fixed. I tried re-running the translator, but it’s still not clear.”

NE Steven spoke up about this point finishing his scan as he gazed into the scanner goggles. “..Compartment size seems around like ours give or take, shouldnt be a problem. Just dress cool is all I guess I can say.” Steven reported

“So, their life support is on the blink as well as their engines?” asked Glen, but actually rather relived. “I thought for a moment they lived in a Tholian heat environment, but if they are humanoid we’ll just have to dress for a tropical climate. We could take along some portable cooling equipment?”
