The now three only walked a few feet before they came to a primitive double airlock door. Likely showing the alien’s had not yet developed effective filtration systems in their life support in case of sickness or such. A primitive setup for sure, and slow to move them inside the room as the airlock decontaminated with some kind of antiseptic air before the inner lock opened. The bay was small of course given the alien ship’s size, about 4 beds of sorts held patients with a fifth on a small padded cot off to one corner. A covered body was in another corner, likely the dead the First spoke of previously.

The first alien who had been formerly so excitable turned. =/\= The five injured were near a plasma relay so their burns are quite severe across 30-80% of their bodies. Unknown word, likely a name and I =/\= She said gesturing to the other female alien =/\= Have done what we can but I am sure compared to you our medical sciences are lacking no doubt! Please if you can assist them in any way feel free to do scans or such. =/\= She said.

looking to see that the wounded appeared stable, Mooney approached the deceased, “How long has she been dead?” Knowing full well their measurement of time was likely to be radically different, and the UT would not yet know the conversion. It was simply habit. As he worked the hand scanner over what he hoped was the bodies brain and then chest. “Would you let us move your casualties to our sickbay? It would be more efferent than bringing a treatment team and their equipment here.” Keying his tricorder to relay its reading to lieutenant Saark,.please be still here, no one deserves to die so young. He silently prayed as he worked.

There was a confused sing song tone to the first question from Mooney something the UT probably couldnt translate properly. When he would ask it again the UT seemed to do its job right and there was another reply =/\= Oh you were asking how long the deceased had been in passing? About two standard days by our time of counting. =/\= the first alien female from before answered.

Scans of the dead showed they had been deceased for about the time stated, given the decay rate was limited a preserving agent was likely in effect to slow decay and smell. That said scans probably gave an estimate of 60 hours since death roughly approximating that the aliens single day was about 30 hours long in theory.

Moving to the next patient he continued his triage.

Scans of the living once he moved onto them showed they were in a medically induced coma. Given the amount of burns and trauma on the female aliens bodies was close to 50-80% in places this made sense. A series of gauze pads was on much of the burn sites giving the female aliens a sort of appearance like mummies wrapped up. Going off the scans the injured probably could be gotten back on their feet within a week or so of treatment using the Merrimack’s superior medical science. Much of the genetic markers seemed consistent for safe treatment. The second female alien doctor spoke up about this point =/\= The burn victims we think will never fully heal by our medical sciences, such burns and injuries are too severe though we’ve done all we can to make them comfortable. If and when we return to unknown word, perhaps a planet’s name we will see their care turned over to the Elder of unknown word to continue what life remains to them. =/\= She sang out.

GM CockRoach

Looking up from his work. “Would you allow us to treat them on our ship? We have experience and techniques for the treatment of severe plasma burns. As your biology is close to ours I believe we can do much more for them while our crews help repair your ship.” Even if they couldn’t keep them a week, they could do the major work and provide them with materials to continue their treatments on their own ship.

MCPO Mooney

There was an exchange glance between both alien females. They spoke in tones uncaught by the UT to translate but the air about them seemed conflicted but excited equally. Finally the second of the females spoke. =/\= I see no reason we can not have them moved to your ship for further treatment. If you can help restore them to a more functional and less suffering state that is always a unknown word in my opinion. =/\= She said. =/\= However, I must request before I given final approval of this movement that unknown word, possibly a name =/\= She said gesturing to the other female present. =/\= Accompanies you to your ship for the safety of our patients. While I do not doubt your intentions or abilities it would look better for me in my reports if I sent someone along to ensure compliance of treatment where possible, is this agreeable? =/\= The second doctor asked.

GM CockRoach

“An expert in your physiology would help immensely, please gather any personal effects you may need wile I make final arrangements.” Turning back to the patient in the worst need, =^= Mooney to USS Merrimack, prepare to begin transporting wounded, they will be accompanied buy a member of their medical staff. Inform the transporter team I will coordinate with sickbay, over =^= knowing that Lieutenant Saark has resigned his scans and was waiting on the line. =^= Monney to Merrimack Medical, we will be begin transporting wounded when your ready, I suggest one at a time and that some one be their to meet their accompanying medical expert, over.=^= knowing his patients were stable, and about to be evacuated to the ship, the battle hardened medic relaxed and allowed the compassionate man to show. Induced coma or not this was still a sentient being with hopes and fears just like him. Reaching out tenderly stroke her hair. “ Its going to be ok, we are going to transport you to our ship. Ol’ Doc Saark will take care of you.”

MCPO Mooney.

Lt. Saark’s reply came promptly over Mooney’s communicator. =/\=Lt. Saark to MCPO Mooney. Ready to receive patients. Your comments are noted, thank you. I will be ready to meet their medical expert.=/\=
