“Okay, Kord is coming too! William, you have the Bridge,” Glen said as he left.
William could sit in the Captain’s chair if he wished.
William turned around and stood up “Yes, sir” He said simply, waiting for them to leave before exhaling slightly. He had been given command of the Bridge more than a few times. It was an odd feeling, being responsible for so many lives even if just for a few hours. He moved to the chair, sat down, and crossed his legs.
William took a good look at the alien vessel, he went into a pocket inside his jacket and took out a small PaDD and started tapping in several observations about the design and architecture about the vessel, he hoped they would be able to have some sort of cultural exchange with the people as he’d very much like to get his hand on some of their artwork and scientific theories.
There was a lot of activity on the alien vessel, repairs, negotiations, and then a medical transport. He wondered what their first reaction to transporter technology was like. He made a mental note to question the Transporter tech’s how it went.
“Sir,” announced the Navigator, “I’m holding our current position. Shall I continue to do so, or shall I mirror the set and drift of the alien vessel?”
William blinked and looked up from his PaDD almost surprised at the question, for a moment he forgot that he had the Conn “Yes, match their drift and keep the same distance” He said simply.
“Aye! Sir,” replied the Navigator. Dariusz fingers played quickly across his console. A red light goes on, followed by a green light, then more lights. The lights all go off again, save a blinking yellow light. Then that light goes off too. Dariuz puts his hands together and cracks his knuckles, a disturbingly loud noise for such a small action. There is little for him to do. He looks intently at the starfield but he has observed no moving images since they arrived in this system.
