It seems the UT didn’t translate Kord’s words well, as the females gave him odd looks in reply, perhaps he should try again.

Scans showed the reactor used a crude lithium matter/antimatter mix chamber reaction. Similar to early warp 1 engines on Earth. The core was stable but power feeds lines were burned out from the reaction chamber into the mess of burned wires and relays. They could be replaced easily enough from basic parts on board the Merrimack once beamed over.

It was less than thirty minutes and Tia was back with two NEs and a couple boxes of parts they managed to get from the list. They had all but one of the hardest pieces to find that didn’t quite make sense. But Tia had grabbed a couple things to use in its place and smiled at Kord as she returned, nudging his shoulder as she passed. “Hope you behaved yourself.” Her soft laughter following her as she went to see what she could help install as quickly as possible to get things going.

Kord had been working on puzzling out the tangles of wires and seeing what could be salvaged.

“On my best behavior.” he said with his hands still amongst the nest of wiring, “They could use some better cable management.”

The aliens working with Tia and Kord were soon wrist and elbow deep in replacing wires, relays and other feed lines that had gotten burned out. The process would end up taking a better part of a day or so but by the end of it they had the ship’s core soon ready to initiate a restart power up cycle.

Kord went around double checking the reactor shielding and connections.

“At least they don’t use infrareds as reactor shielding.” Kord said absently.

Kord’s check found no problems with the connections and shielding, everything seemed good to go!

At this point power came back on fully and systems nearby began to reboot with clicks and whirrs. It seems main power had been restored.

Kord would wait to verify a successful restart before reporting such.
