Main Sim - Bridge - Rescuing The Lost Sleeper Ship

Unfortunately the sleeper ship seemed to be powered by a series of old styled fusion powered batteries coupled with fossil fuel driven maneuvering jets. While their were access points for fueling up both, the Merrimack lacked any means for remote transfer. The NE at comms spoke up evidently their Alstair transport was maneuvering into position to tow the ship. “..Message from the transport ship sir. They’re going to hard dock with the sleeper ship, and begin towing. They don’t seem aware of the dire straits of the power on the ship though. Should I relay that?” the NE asked.

William nodded “Yes, give them a continuous readout of the sleeper ships power and status” He said in a calm voice despite feeling anything but.

Another NE at the engineering station spoke up,” ..If they can hard dock and supply power, we could tractor both ships then carefully back into the system safely if we wanted..” He said.

William turned the command chair to look at the Engineer station “Can the sleeper ship maintain structural integrity being pulled by a tractor beam?” He asked.

CSO

The NE at engineering turned scanning the sleeper ship. “..It should long as we take things slow, no more than .10c at best, and accelerate slowly up to to that speed then.” He said.

William nodded “Good, Comms inform our escort that when they’ve stabilized the ship’s power we’ll be towing them back carefully”.

CSO

”..Aye sir..” The comms NE said.

On screen then the Alstaire ship maneuvered carefully soon lining up in a box like formation over the sleeper ship, hard dock couplings extending and latching on in place in four corner points, with a fifth coming down in the center. Scans showed the connections were secure and solid already fuel lines being manually drug by hand in the connecting tunnels were being taken over to the Sleeper ship to stabilize things.

A few minutes later the NE at comms turned again. “..Sir, the Alstaire captain is reporting their teams have connected all hard lines, they also confirm a temporary stabilization of the power core of the sleeper ship. They had cleared us for towing after I informed them of our capabilities and wish to extend their thanks for the help. They also report their teams have surmised the power burst we picked up was acting like a ‘signal flare’ of sorts to draw attention to the ship which came here on auto-pilot.” He said.

Once the go ahead was given for tractoring the Merrimack came about and carefully came into position standing off by about 1km before activating the tractor beam. Things came through clean and they were as ready as they could be to move back into the system.
