The Alstair female came up to them, pausing in their sing song speech tones as the UT did its job. =/\= I am unknown word, perhaps a name, good that you are here, we have stabilized the main fusion cells with fresh ones from our own ship. We are currently working to bring the ship’s computer plant back online and could use a hand there. We could also use a hand working on analyzing those records of its navigation charts to see where it was and how it got back here.=/\= She said.

William nodded “I think Lieutenant Ezial can get the ship’s computer up” He looked at the Chief Engineer and nodded “I can take a look at those charts, more my area”

The Alstair female nodded to them. =/\= This way then. =/\= She said leading them up a stair well which soon narrowed a bit to a open corridor. =/\= Pardon the bit of smoke there had been a brief electric fire when we boarded. =/\= She added. Leading them through a slightly acrid stanched patch of smoke. Then up another flight of steps to an open bay area where what seemed the ship’s print out center and computer plant were contained.

William’s nose wrinkled at the smell but he gave no other visible sign of noticing it. He took opened his tricorder and scanned the computer plant, accessing the data if he could.

The connection point now that they knew how to interface from their earlier time on the warp capable Alstair ship was fairly similar. Unfortunately without power to the computer core yet he couldn’t make queries.

William frowned, he was hoping there was enough power remaining to at least access the computer. He looked at the Chief Engineer “I can’t do anything here until we have some power” He said calmly already having smoothed out his features.

Tia had followed silently and nodded to the others. “NE Pikes, see if you can find out what the fire damaged and see how easily it can be repaired. I’m wondering if that is one of the reasons for lack of power.” She watched as the NE that had accompanied them turned with the small tool box and went to investigate. “Since we can’t do anything till power is up, let’s start here,” she pointed to the main console, “and we will trace back till we get a power source. William, can you start on this end?”

She nodded to their escort, “If you could show me the main power source for the ship, I can start on that end and work my way this way till we find where the power pauses and where the break is in the line, so to speak.” Wire chasing wasn’t her specialty. But puzzles were. And on this ship, everything was a puzzle. Where did it come from? How did it get home? And why, after all this time, was it just now lost on power? So many questions and so little time.

“You mentioned this was a sleeper ship? How many were on it and are they all right or in danger with the power loss?” She was sure something had been said about this earlier, but her mind hadn’t been paying attention then. Now, it seemed not just relevant, but polite as well.
