Hal eventually went off of his shift at around 10pm. That was rather late. But it was his first full shift that he was on since he was back from the away team mission. He had plenty of systems diagnostics and security checks to run.So it was that he found himself in the ship’s galley. He ordered a double cheeseburger medium rare. With plenty of bacon and mushrooms on it. Otherwise, plain. Served with a side of steak fries and an ice cold diet root beer.

Cross knew it was late and extremely tired but also hungry.As she entered and saw Lt Hal, the female doctor made her way towards were he was sitting ‘’Mind some company I promise to be good’‘.Cross CMO.
“Sure, have a seat,” Hal offered. “I just ordered. So my food hasn’t arrived yet.”

The doctor could not quite remember if the CoS was part of the crew when she left ‘’Thanks I’m Cross’‘ she said by introducing herself while extending a hand and sat down.
The waiter brought her order mac and cheese, her favorite dish.Closing her eyes she took a deep breath ‘’Would you mind if I start eating cause I cannot recall when I last had a good meal?’‘ Cross asked Hal ‘’Forgot what its like not having to hunt for food ‘’.

“You bet, Doctor,” Hal said. He added grilled chunks of white onions to his order to be placed on his cheeseburger.
“We’ve met before,” he added. “I tend to stay away from the Sickbay.”

Miriam was about to say back then she rarely stayed in sickbay and would go where ever took her fancy but instead she simply nodded ‘’Most do’.’
The doctor wondered how she had forgotten Hal ‘’Lt could you please brief me on what is going on…I have just lost a crew member during surgery ?’‘ .
Cross CMO.
“Eh, well, we encountered this alien sleeper ship of pre First Contact people,” Hal said. “Then, we went to their ship. Then, their planet. Things went well enough that they’re joining the Federation. I think.”
“But. You may want to get a debriefing from the Captain,” he added.

Cross nodded ‘’Yes Lt after some time resting.... I’m going over to Bridge ‘’ the doctor wondered why she was feeling this tired ‘’Guess I’m getting old’‘ she reasoned more to herself then Hal.
Cross realized that her plate was empty ‘’Emm I’ll order some more food then I’ll head to my quarters ‘’ as if she was a child asking Hal’s permission to do so.
