It finally started to formulate a speech pattern; it was a hybrid language version of the planet’s native language and Klingon. She had an idea and switched to Klingon and made a few minor adjustments to the universal translator, “HISlaH,, qar’a’? Heghpu’ ghaH, pagh vIbuSqu’ QoyDI’ ghu’ vIQoypu’ {Yes, my name is Pashi. Your name is Bako? I am not a Demon, Federation is friends, here to help.}.
The girl looked taken aback by the sudden change in language. After a moment to absorb what was said she replied in a more accented Klingon, that also held a mix of her own language in spots. It would seem speaking in Klingon was a good idea! “....Yes, name is Bako. You are Pashi? But....you look like Demons that the Brown Star Angels who came from the Heavens showed us who are allied with our Great Gods. You look like the Demons, the Fed Doomers. You....can not be Fed Doomers and yet be friends who help?” She said seeming confused and unsure how else to reply.
If the natives all speak Klingon, then that should help, thought Glen. Why didn’t we think of that earlier? Now then, who do we have aboard that speaks Klingon fluently for the landing party? I’m not sure we have anyone, but the UT will surfice!
Glen had made up his mind about the landing party. He’d inform Pashi as soon as she had finished with the girl, and they could return the girl at the same time. He would inform the others now.

Pashi gave a slight smile and replied back “chemvaH loDnI’pu’ vIqemlu’ jIH. SoHvaD ghu’vam, ‘ej puSqu’lI’ neH. tlhIngan Hol DanobtaHvIS jatlh. { I am not a Demon, the Fed Doomers are like a nation state, the proper name is the United Federation of Planets. We are very similiar to you and your people, mortal. The ones you call the Brown Star Angels are also mortal and are called Klingons and their nation state is called the Klingon Empire.}.” here Pashi waited a second and asked her “> be’neDIq vISovbe’ ‘e’ vIHech’a’? { I want to be your friend> How can I prove to you I am not a Demon, a Fed Doomers?}.” She waited for the child to answer. In the background she heard the captain state she would need to be ready for a landing party in thirty minutes. Damn, not much time to gain this girls trust. she thought.

The girl listened to the words spoken back, clearly at odds with her short but well engrained education and religious doctrine of fearing or hating the ‘Fed Doomers’ from Klingon ‘divine agents’. The idea of both being false and their god’s agents being mortal seemed to anger the girl. As a result she spat in Pashi’s face, then slapped her letting loose a number of native curses no doubt and a few broken ones of klingon. The end result of translated words filtering out the insults and curses was, =/\= No! You lie, you Fed Doomers all lie! You demon lies will not lead me down a dark path! =/\= In some form or another she said. Clearly being blunt like this to the child was not the way to go, but would this sort of zealotry also hold over to the adults and leaders on the surface? Time would tell soon enough.

Pashi slowly wiped the spittle from her face “If I was a demon like the others claimed, would I have not struck you down for what you did? Would not the others of us you attacked struck you down for such insolence and bad behavior? None of us have been hostile to you, and we will take you back to your people. I want you to understand I and the rest of us want to be your friends, and help your people. Please give us a chance to prove ourselves as not being evil, and wanting to help.”
