Hal entered the sickbay bearing some flowers in a vase. “Captain,” he said, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
“Those for me?” Glen asked, “Why thank you, Hal! How kind! Well… if Grunch will allow them in here? He seems more grumpy than usual today.”
“How are things on the Bridge?” Glen asked Hal. “I’ve asked to get hooked up here so that I can take part again, but I’m still waiting on Engineering connecting me, and I have no idea what’s going on around the ship. I find it very frustrating!”
It was also at this point that NE engineers came in carrying the necessary things for Glen to hook up to things on the bridge and observe. The process would take a bit but in a little bit he had a birds eye view of the bridge and view screen going ons. “..Hows that sir?” The NE asked.
“That’s pretty remarkable,” Hal noted.
“Perfect!” replied the Captain. “Now, I feel like I have my hand of the tiller again!”
Turning back to Hal, Glen asked, “Have you any security concerns? Are you still shadowing Daniel?”
“I’ve got a security officer on him, Sir,” Hal explained. “I’ve not been to the bridge much myself. He seems to be pretty much what he claims.”
He placed the flowers on a night table near the biobed. “There you go,” he added.
“Thank you again,” said Glen. “What kind of flowers are these? They are quite unusual.”
“I appropriated them from the arborteum, Sir,” Hal explained.
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell the Ship’s Botanist.”
“You probably aren’t going to be able to stay much longer,” Glen told Hal. “Grunch has ordered another tranche of tests on me to discover what’s wrong, but keep me abreast of what is happening via this tech and camera.”
“Of course, Sir,” Hal replied. “I’ll leave you to the tender minstrations of the Tellarite.”
OOC: I’m half tempted to retitle this thread to ‘hooking up with the captain’ :P

OOC: Since we’ve moved ahead weeks in other threads, let’s say that the new tests were performed and the Captain is keeping fully informed of all developments.
