[snip]It was 1900 hours at night the day of the Merrimack having been given R&R. Much to the delight of the crew and station personnel not assigned to repair work or other priority duties the much awaited premiere of Bucco Rogers In The 31st CEntury!! Starring big shot movie star Michael Von Fort as Bucco Rogers, and his female side kick Becky Loco played by equally hot item movie star Sasha Williams was about to start seating in Deep Space K-5’s movie hall. To cement the occasion the auditorium had been decorated like an old style Earth 1950s style movie theater, complete with ticket stands, popcorn and snack stands, etc.
Already a line of eager off duty personnel was forming up, and while tickets were ‘charged’ using fact monetary script, the movie and food etc was truly free.
Dariusz joined a queue to the theatre concession stand not really knowing what he was queuing for. When he reached the front, and was asked what he wanted, he was stumped as to how to reply. There were nuts but still inside their hard shells, something called ‘Popcorn’ that looked like a pet animal’s bedding, and some kind of nondescript meat on a stick but covered in a bright yellow sauce with a strong smell. At least there was alcohol, and he knew what that was, so he simply asked for a beer and then went to take his seat.

As Dariusz took his beer and seat he found the theater beginning to fill up, an excited air was clear among everyone present for the opening showing.

Saark had shown up as well, figuring that it would be a good way to meet some of the rest of the crew. Declining anything to eat or drink, Saark took a seat near the center of the theater. He glanced around briefly to check who else had attended, before turning his eyes to the screen.
