Longstreet and Karlson arrived. The SF Doctor was present (Leaving the door open for Tyra with Sweenie if she is available) and had just about wrapped it up. He was just going over some last minute checks.

Longstreet entered quietly and walked up near the body on the table. These days a scanner could about do it without every opening up the body. However the good Doc still believed in doing it the old way. If you were not used to the sight it was unsettling. However Longstreet had seen worse and he knew for a fact Karlson had as well.

OOC: If Tyra wants to jump in here that is great. If not I will RP it or whoever else wants too. We will need help from the PRISM team though to give us hints on what is found. Remember this is the guy who was thought to have killed Prim and then got himself killed by someone.

Longstreet

OOC: BUMP

I need to know who is running the Prim Zar murder portion of the Prism because this is connected to that directly. If its Julia then whoever is backing her up with that Prism so we can get notes or cancel it until she returns.

Sidney

OOC: I don’t know who is running it, but I’ll RP that two headed nurse from the last time I was around at least until Tyra and/or Julia returns..

IC: Nurse Belarik-Belarit, the Geminius officer from the Centurian’s mission came out from around the corner. The bi-headed alien was in scrubs and following the instructions of the Doctor in charge of the autopsy. The Nurse acknowledged both the Lt Commander and the Commissioner (that was Belarik’s head) while also assisting the Doctor (that was Belarit). As Belarit held a tray for the Doctor, Belarik spoke to the Chief of Security and Commissioner, but in the ways of that race, Belarik was quickly joined by Belarit, each speaking in turns..
“Sad business this, not one but two men,” Belarik said.
“Have died under our watch, but the Doctor,” Belarit continued.
“Not to mention Chief Sweenie,” Belarik added.
“Will find out whatever there is to find out.” Belarit concluded.
At a word from the Doctor, both heads fell silent and they focused on the job at hand items were put in both trays, and they took them to the counter where they’d be further checked. After putting the trays down, the nurse returned and looked once more at the Security Chief and Police Commissioner, before speaking in the unusual way of communication.
Belarik - “Any word on who,”
Belarit - “Did this to him,”
Belarik - “And could it be”
Belarit - “They will do so,”
Belarik - “Once more and kill”
Belarit - “Someone else here?”
Belarik - “What if it was”
Belarit - “One of us who”
Belarik - “Was killed. Would it”
Belarit - “Mean both of us”
Belarik - “Would be found dead?”
Belarit - “Or only one?”
Belarit and Belarik looked at each other and then at the two law enforcement officers, “I do not want to be killed in this way,” they said in unison

-NE Nurse Belarik-Belarit

OOC: That was great. Loved it.

“Well Nurse that would be two since I assume you are distinct from each other as sentient beings but it dies bring up some interesting legal questions of intent. As to the other question I hope we have no more killings related to this one but I fear we might.” He answered.

Longstreet

OOC: Hey guys, she shared some of the details with me. Let me touch base with her and I can move some stuff along soon.

In the meantime, we can do an autopsy on a victim involved in my PRSIM. :)

Feel free to start the thread. The victim is a worker from the judiciary department.

-Tony
OOC: It’s my PRSIM, had to take a LOA, but we can continue now, thanks for keeping at it :-)
The autopsy will reveal that the murderer of Prim was poisened shortly afterwards by a microscopic small capsule in his digestive system that was timed to release the toxin into his system and caused immediate heart failure and the foaming at his mouth. As mentioned he’s been suspected to be for hire for dirty jobs, but so far never convicted, but he’s on file and he has a record of several misdemeanors. He has no medical background training though (that would be in the files) that could explain how he was able to kill the host, but not the symbiont. As a reminder, the admission records of that day also state the admission of Darius Zar, with the symbiont already in his belly, all that was done to him was to dermal-regenerate the tissue where Dr. NE Pearce had implanted the Zar symbiont into him back in that alley. The Chief of Mining Operations had already checked out an hour earlier.

Todd looked back over his notes and made some interesting findings and then added the notes of what he had found in the digestive system of the newest victim. He sent a message to the CoS and let him know what had been found.

CMO

Looking at the autopsy notes Longstreet shared them with Karlson.

“I’m scratching my head on this. Did this man take the capsule himself with intent to kill himself after the deed or did he get ricked into taking it?” Longstreet asked. “He does not strike me like a zealot type from his record.”

Longstreet COS

Longstreet read this file and nodded in agreement “It would appear that whoever it was that hired this man planned ahead. This means they could get him to murder Prim Zar and then get rid of the only obvious tie to them. It’s rather an intelligent solution to murder, timed poisions.”

DCI Pangolin
OOC: Very good :)

“Far too calculated for my taste. That means conspiracy usually. Hard to pull this all off with just one or two persons. At any rate we need to trace this guys steps from as far back as we can. Dr. Do we have a positive ID on this guy from medical records and scans?”

Longstreet COS

OOC: Yes, he was already identified as a known criminal, doing all sorts of dirty jobs. He’s a suspect in about 5 robberies and two of them had a victim that died.

“Ah yes here it is.” Longstreet said looking over the file. “Probably an easy choice for the person who hired him. Dependable to get a job done and disposable too. So now we need to find the person who employed him. Which in this case will not be easy.”

=^=Computer find all data and bio recognition scans we have from our systems and see if we find anything that identifies where this man has been in the last month=^=

Longstreet knew the man had to have habits and that meant whoever wanted to hire him might have had to go to him to do it.

Longstreet COS
OOC: Don’t want to be nit-pickey, but which computer are you asking? The computer of the medical facility will not have any answers. However, in the goverment tower, on the second floor from the top you have access to the surveilling equipment of all of OED as the COS. I’ll just imply that you asked that AI via a com link ;)

He got a list of multiple locations, all of which in the more shady quarters of OED, in the outermost districts and the underground system. One location though stood out for him, it was the office address of a private detective and the other was of the cabinet member Stephen Binns. There was no information though if the suspect had entered said houses, it just said that he had been in that street.
- Zar

“These stand out.” He said handing it to Pangolin. “The office of Binns and this one of a P.I. Not what you would expect. Want to split up or go together?”

Longstreet COS

Pangolin squinted his eyes as he read over the list “No let’s go together. Starting with this private Detective.” He adjusted his jacket “I’ll need to inform the Commissioner or at least my Superintendent if we’re going to start investigating Cabinet Members” He indicated that the pair could mobilize “This is turning out to be quite interesting.”

DCI Pangolin

“Probably less so to him.” Longstreet said indicating to the dead man. “Ok lets do this together. I on the other had do not need to inform the boss. I am the boss. Plus the big boss prefers answers before I come to him and right now I don’t have any.”

“Thanks Doc.” Longstreet called out as they headed out.

Longstreet

Pangolin chuckled “Yes that must be nice” A moment later they reached outside and the Chief Inspectors car was waiting for them. “I’ll just send the Superintendent a message quickly,” He said as he sat inside the vehicle just before it lifted off already prepared to take them to their next destination “She’ll get a judge ready in case we need search warrants quickly. Tracing our assassin should be enough for probable cause”

DCI Pangolin

“If all else fails I will place it under National security and we can get what we want when we want. However if it goes to the civil penal side that may complicate things.” Longstreet said as he got into the hover mobile thingy.

“The bottom line is we have to start somewhere.” He added.

Longstreet

Todd nodded “Any time gentlemen. Let me know if you need me for anything else.” He said as he turned back to finish preparing the body for burial.

CMO

With the body prepared, Todd put it back in the morgue to await the funeral arrangments so that it could be released to family or whomever. He returned to his office and finished writing up his report.
